People choose to ignore what animals go through when they eat their flesh, milk and eggs. Forcing animals into slaughterhouses should be seen as unacceptable, not normal. The issue of animal rights and veganism should be an issue everyone is talking about. Killing animals shouldn't be seen as the norm, respecting them should. Veganism is not a diet, its the moral baseline. Disruptive activism is effective because by speaking up in places that animals are exploited we put the message into everyones mind that animals are individuals, not ours to exploit and kill. The animals need you!
