Bee Studios won a Bronze Award in the category of “Kitchens between $175,000- 250,000” for their project in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood.   Sponsored by Kitchen & Bath Design News magazine, the Kitchen & Bath Design Awards is a national contest recognizing outstanding achievement in project design and construction in 11 categories. ✨GLOBAL MODERN CUSTOM HOME ✨ We revealed our client’s new custom home to them last night after a week of furniture, art, drapery, and styling setup. It was a wonderful evening as we toured the magic of each space and shared all the design details with them while enjoying champagne and bites from @chefrosanarivera. There are some remaining furniture pieces that will be arriving in the coming months, but this beauty is 95% complete and ready to be enjoyed! ✨ AFTER REVEAL ✨ So much love for this kitchen yesterday. Thought you would like to see the before pictures. You can see how we DOUBLED the size of this small galley kitchen. We incorporated the table seating into the island, relocated the range, fridge, and sink. The new island houses the sink, DW, trash, and storage. The clients even got a bonus bar (one of my favorite elements!). The kitchen is full of cool storage pullouts, oversized drawers, bar organization for bottles, and oversized pantry pullout. One of my other favorite details is the shorter base cabinet by the window. This awkward transition by the window turned into a gorgeous little display area. For a designer- the biggest challenges are the biggest opportunities! ✨ DARK ON DARK ON DARK ✨ When the moody and dark colors work harmoniously to create the most cozy kitchen. This kitchen doubled (yes, doubled!) in size by expanding into the adjacent dining area. We designed an oversized island with large sink that backs to a Black Limba wood table for the ultimate eat in dining experience. Dark cabinets, tiles, and appliances create a backdrop of beautiful hardware, lighting, brick, and more tile accents. We are thrilled how this one turned out!
