Available šŸ¤Ž This beautiful piece combines simple design with exceptional craftsmanship. Its distinctive hand-turned bobbin feet add a playful yet elegant detail, while the drawers feature clean lines that emphasise the beauty of the natural timber. Finished in our signature wood tone Blend #31, the grain has been enhanced to reveal a warm, rich texture, creating a piece that feels modern yet remains true to its history. A bespoke white Carrara marble top was custom-cut to fit the chest and moulded with a roman ogee profile, its soft grey veining adding a sophisticated contrast to the warm timber. The combination of rich materials and meticulous restoration work results in a piece that is both functional and beautiful, making it a versatile addition to contemporary and period-inspired interiors alike.

In the quiet theatre of our daily lives, there is a unique solace to be found in the act of preparation—a moment when the world softens, and we gather ourselves with grace and intention. This charming space, paired with the elegant Santiago Mirror and beautifully styled by the talented @styled_living , becomes a little more than functional—it is a retreat where getting ready is not rushed but honoured. The warm texture of rattan, the soft glow of a lamp, and the thoughtful presence of personal treasures create an atmosphere that soothes and inspires. Even a brief glance at this picture serves as a reminder that the simplest rituals, when surrounded by beauty and care, can transform the ordinary into something profound—a gentle start that carries us forward with poise and purpose. Beautifully captured by @_nataubry_ šŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ¤Ž

BESPOKE PROJECT šŸ¤Ž When sourcing pieces for restoration, our guiding principle is to seek distinctive markers of beauty, balanced proportions, and excellent construction quality. While the historical context and significance of a piece are often secondary, our focus is on preserving intrinsic and the timeless artistry of craftsmanship. This means that some pieces require only subtle, thoughtful intervention, while others emerge as diamonds in the rough. Both hold equal value to us, with simpler designs often serving as a creative canvas for exploring new ideas and techniques. This exquisite piece began as a charming antique chest, crafted from oak with beautifully balanced proportions, long adorned legs, and three spacious drawers. Reimagined as a bespoke creation for Ashley’s NYC home, the design was inspired by one of our earliest works, thoughtfully refined to suit this unique commission. After carefully restoring the chest to ensure full functionality, we introduced a striking reeded texture, crafted from solid oak dowels, giving the piece a fresh yet timeless appeal. A new solid oak top was designed with a framed edge and a full bullnose profile, perfectly complementing the curves of the textured front. The entire chest was finished in our elegant Blend #41, a finish that highlights the intricate details while maintaining a cohesive and naturally refined charm. The solid brass knobs were carefully positioned against the reeded texture, adding a touch of modernity that complements the piece’s timeless elegance. In our eyes, this final detail perfectly completes the design. Transforming this chest from its original state into such a stunning creation has been a deeply rewarding process. Recognising its potential from the outset and bringing it to life perfectly encapsulates what we love most about restoration. Thank you once again, for trusting us with such a meaningful part of your beautiful home. šŸ¤Ž And we could not thank @broomhill_antique_rugs enough for her beautiful antique rugs! It’s not a very well kept secret how much of a big fans we are šŸ™ˆ And this beauty was a match made in heaven for this piece! šŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ‚āœØ

We just can’t get over the richness and feel of Cuban mahogany timber. Its natural grain is simple and subtle, yet the more you observe it, the more you uncover the intricacies and character that made it the preferred timber for so long. It’s remarkably silky to the touch and finishes beautifully with an incredibly consistent deep brown-red tone that is truly inimitable. This beautiful dressing table has really changed our perspective on this wood. There isn’t a month that goes by when we don’t wish we could use it more often or regret the actions of our ancestors that so permanently harmed such a special resource. There’s a valuable lesson to be learned here, one that lies in recognising our responsibility to the resources we use and becoming deeply conscious of how we utilise, grow, and obtain them—ensuring that species like this can thrive and be appreciated by future generations for their natural beauty and value.

We’re so excited to share one of our favourite projects of 2024. Restored as a bespoke project for @makemyhomepretty , this piece perfectly captures our vision for restoration—our passion for conserving heritage while making it feel fresh and exciting. This 19th-century dressing table, crafted with the most beautiful Cuban mahogany veneer, features stunning hand-turned flat bobbin legs in solid mahogany and a hand-joined quarter-sawn oak substrate. Sourcing pieces like this is one of our absolute favourite things. They bring so much character and tell stories of their era, from the care and attention of the craftsmen to the resources and artisanship used to create something so fine and beautiful. We took a reserved approach in this restoration. After carefully sanding and repairing functional components, we found the original veneers needed repair, the drawer faces were poorly matched, and the leather-inlaid top needed replacing. In fewer words, we needed a large piece of a rare resource that’s been extinct for over 100 years. Simple enough, right? This set us on a quest to find a solid piece of Cuban mahogany. After much searching, we found a perfectly sized board, recovered from the extension of an antique table that had been repurposed, that was a perfect match for our beautiful piece. We used it to install a stunning solid top with a signature profile developed specifically for this project and used the off-cuts to repair the veneers and substitute the drawer faces. And for the piĆØce de rĆ©sistance—the mirror. Although it appears to be part of the original piece, it was sourced separately by our talented client and restored by us to create a perfect match, transforming what was once a desk into a beautiful, cohesive antique dressing table. The result is simply immaculate and is one of those pieces that steals your gaze every time you pass by and will certainly make a statement wherever it’s placed. šŸ¤Ž

Mahogany and burgundy: Nature’s accent tones šŸ· As autumn approaches and the grounds and trees turn a deep red, we find ourselves irresistibly drawn to warm tones and mahogany wood pieces. The depth they bring to a room, especially when paired with other natural tones and deep golden brass, creates a uniquely inspiring atmosphere, combining cosy, inviting undertones with a touch of sophistication. In our eyes, because it is a naturally occurring maroon, mahogany grain effortlessly integrates with more neutral shades and textures, adding both boldness and warmth while keeping interiors light and vibrant. This stunning room by @1000x_better captures it perfectly. Just a few touches of burgundy, balanced with autumnal greens, make the room feel exceptional. Mahogany and maroon can indeed be polarising tones in interior design, however. Why do you think that is? šŸ¤”

Around this time last year, we released a gorgeous mahogany desk that was truly a one-of-a-kind statement piece. This year, paying the same homage to autumnal colours and deep burgundy hues, we introduced this equally outstanding French commode. It’s hard to capture the incredible presence of this piece in photos. The immaculate design details and the stance afforded by its proportions make it a statement in and of itself, while the bookmatched flamed mahogany is simply breathtaking. šŸ¤Ž

A stunning 19th-century Louis Philippe French mahogany commode, this piece features a striking flamed mahogany veneer with a rare, symmetrical pattern flowing across its drawers. Constructed on a solid oak substrate for durability, it rests gracefully on hand-carved feet and is adorned with a beautifully patinated set of solid brass knobs and an antique set of ornate brass escutcheons sourced specifically for this piece. Completing the design is a carefully chosen, honed white Calacatta marble top, which enhances the warmth of the wood with its soft matte finish and subtle. Available as part of our Restoration Studios collection. šŸ¤Ž

How stunning is this bathroom by @amberinteriors? We’re so in love with how the rich, patterned tiles contrast with the soft, neutral cabinetry—it gives the entire space an incredible sense of flow. The tiles feel almost alive, moving through the room and guiding the eye from one texture to the next. Their warm tones just pop against the cabinetry and brass hardware, striking that perfect balance of boldness and calm. There’s something so original about this approach. Each tile has its own unique character, beautifully highlighting the earthy colours and intricate textures that make the space feel both grounded and dynamic. It’s one of those designs that feels effortlessly unique, almost as if it evolved naturally. Just beautiful šŸ‚šŸ¤Ž
