A bay window framed out and accented with gracefully curved plaster corbels was designed to house the piano in interior designer @amyadamsdesigns’ Charlotte, North Carolina, home. Plaster cove detailing and a lacquered ceiling that Amy says “reflects like a mirror” add intrigue in the dining room. A treasured collection of silver bells and cross ornaments decorate the flocked tree, as seen in @traditionalhome’s Winter ‘24 issue. “Without the wood, there would have been too many fully upholstered sofas,” Rush Jenkins says of the curvy side sofas that are wrapped in walnut. “We wanted something that had a bit of artistry to it. The way that the wood emphasizes its silhouette gives it soul.” A mohair throw in a sophisticated blend of blue, olive, and eggplant brings texture into the living room of this Jackson, Wyoming, home featured in @traditionalhome’s Winter ‘23 issue. “We had a wonderful opportunity on the wraparound porch,” interior designer Jesse Carrier says in @traditionalhome’s Winter ‘24 issue. “Because it offers just as much covered surface as the main level inside, there is plenty of room for the kids to ride their tricycles and get all their wiggles out.” White tubular furniture frames with woven rope for cushion stability were softened further with throw pillows that nod to the subtle Scandinavian sensibilities used for interior rooms, designed by @carrierandco. Traditional support columns uphold the home’s history as a Victorian Era house built in 1887. Written and produced by @krissa_rossbund Photography by @johneeebee

“Dale and I are so incredibly thankful that we can celebrate Christmas and its true meaning as a family with our children and grandchildren,” interior designer @jeanstofferdesign says in @traditionalhome’s Winter ‘24 issue. “Having a home where we can all gather together is truly one of my life’s biggest and most wonderful blessings.” In the primary bedroom, the color of the walls is one shade away from the molding, creating visual interest without demanding attention.
