PLOT TWIST: Kala namin tahimik ang silent reading session—hindi pala! For some parts it was quiet naman, but it turned out to be so much more than just reading together. Meeting new people, finding unexpected connections, and even surprising ourselves along the way. As introverts—especially someone like @maanagsalud, who often feels awkward in social settings—it was a revelation to leave the session feeling energized and, more importantly, seen. Feeling safe even with strangers, like you belong. Sometimes, the biggest surprises come when you let yourself step into spaces you’d usually avoid. A quiet room can hold loud, beautiful moments of discovery—not just about others, but about yourself. Thank you, @silentbookclubmanila, for this experience. There’s something special about slowing down with a good book and taking time to reflect. Our bookshop and community library are built on this idea—a space where quiet moments, stories, and community can come together. This January, we’re excited to host a Silent Reading Session with @silentbookclubmanila — the Philippines’ first chapter of the global Silent Book Club network. Since 2021, Silent Book Club Manila has been bringing book lovers together through shared reading experiences and a supportive community to help you stay on track with your reading goals.
