The Liquidamber styraciflua hedging we specified and which was generously donated by Sanderson Design Group now planted at Chiswick House and Gardens near the cafe. Love how it creates the colourful seasonal line between the ornamental grasses in the foreground and the evergreen yew trees behind. Supplied by Deepdale Trees and planted by Civic Trees. #colourfulhedging #chiswickhouseandgardens #sandersondesigngroup #livebeautifully

It was a pleasure to be back in Washington DC and visit the gardens of the British Ambassador’s residence at this time of year. We were last here in April and the gardens then went quiet through the immense heat of the summer and is looking green and pleasant. In a few weeks the trees will be on fire with colour. Thank you for taking the time out to walk and talk Head Gardener John Sonnier and I look forward to seeing you in the UK at some point. #artsandcraftsgarden #lutyens

The gorgeous Autumn colours on our three 6m high Nyssa sylvatica trees and Liquidamber styraciflua hedging amongst a selection waiting at Deepdale trees for a special project planting soon. Working with Civic trees we are looking forward to getting them into their new homes - with each species chosen for site conditions in specific locations in this public space. #autumncolour #publiclandscape #deepdaletrees #civictrees

A beautiful evening stroll in the Inner Temple Garden with dried heads against hot pink (photo 1), stipa grasses and teasels (photo 2) and an epic Lobelia tupa (photo 3) I think… #latesummerplants #innertemplegarden #lobelia #gardenstroll

It’s wonderful to see the maturing of these beautiful front and rear gardens in Surrey that we completed back in 2020. In the front garden we added topiary to create a more human scale height and accentuate the pedestrian route to the front door of the in-out driveway. While in the rear garden we needed to subtly introduce a new garden building whilst leaving lots of lawn space for family activities. It was great to spend time with the gardeners recently to ensure it continues to flourish in future years. #surreygarden #gardendesignsurrey #familygardendesign #topiary

Exploring exotic planting in Monterey, California including these impressive succulents that grow to a diameter of up to 45cm in an endless variety of shapes, sizes and colours! Perfect for those who love a touch of the extraordinary, succulents will add texture and interest to any space whether you're creating a lush outdoor landscape or a stylish indoor arrangement, plus they're low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and easy to care for! #ExoticPlants #MontereyGardens #SucculentLove #GardenDesign #CaliforniaGardens #DroughtTolerant #GardenInspiration #BoldFoliage #CoastalGardens

Who hasn't dreamed of having a garden like this in the past week? On a hot day, there's nothing more refreshing than taking a dip in a beautiful pool, but even just gazing at the water can feel rejuvenating. We designed this garden to transform a long, narrow space into a spacious haven for a large, energetic family to enjoy the outdoors and entertain guests. Located right next to Richmond Park, the garden captures the expansive feeling of the historic landscape and maximizes the stunning views of the sky. This private oasis in the heart of London features a new garden building, a plunge pool, and a sunken trampoline, developed in collaboration with @granitarchitects, @precisionpools.uk, and HCL Landscaping. #poolgarden #summergarden #gardendesignrichmond #gardendesignlondon

Big skies over our Cornish escape. We enjoyed this beautiful sunset from the garden of our holiday rental. Gorgeous views of the borrowed landscape. #sunset #holidays #sunset #borrowedlandscape #bigsky

We’re at RHS Tatton Park this week where Ruth is very much enjoying judging the exhibits in the ‘Young Designers of the Year’ category. With a little time to look around the Show, these joyful school garden plots really caught our eye. So uplifting and imaginative! Congratulation to everyone that took part this year. #rhstattonpark #rhstatton #youngdesigneroftheyear #rhs #newdesigners #schoolgardens

A trip to RHS Harlow Carr in Yorkshire today for the RHS AGM. Streamside is one of the most iconic areas of the garden, lush with moisture-loving plants and home to a wide range of wildlife, including dippers, tree creepers, weasels and voles. Like the water, the planting beds ebb and flow with plants including hostas, Rodgersia, Gunnera, Astilbe, Filipendula and Iris sibirica, as well as ferns from the National Plant Collection of Dryopteris. A joy even on a grey summer's day. #rhsharlowcarr #moisturelovingplants #streamside #streamsideharlowcarr #rhs #daysout #gardenvisits
