We were out in our garden yesterday and we noticed in the greenhouse a baby hummingbird. Stan was able to catch it in his hands. We could tell that she was tired so Stan held her to keep her warm! I ended up making some diluted sugar water that we feed the other hummingbirds. We read online to place a Q-tip with the sugar water on your hand so that the hummingbird could try to feed. Then when I was videotaping it, we could see the bubbles from her beak, so we knew that she was eating. . . Within minutes, she was feeling better and flew away. I really wanted to videotape it, but it happened so quickly. . We knew that she joined the rest of her family where they were feeding right next to us. .
