It’s such a magical time of year and I find it so comforting and joyful seeing them everywhere. We’ve just put our lights up outside too! The book I’m sharing this evening is an absolute delight and celebrates light in all its forms across our diverse communities. It’s perfect to share at this time of the year both at home and at school and its message of family, friendship, togetherness and love is such an important one. It’s also a brilliant book for teaching children about different cultural celebrations. 🕯️The book follows Little Glow, a tiny flame, who observes the joy and togetherness of different cultural and religious celebrations: Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, Ramadan, and more. At the beginning, Little Glow feels small and insignificant but quickly learns that even the tiniest light can bring warmth, connection, and meaning to others. One day when he was out shopping with his mum on a particularly busy day, he drops and looses his polar bear teddy, Barney. 🐻‍❄️Devastated, Arthur asks Father Christmas for a new polar bear toy and promises to never let it go.
