Salt dough ornaments (made with antique/vintage mini butter molds) are on the tree! I am so pleased with the way they turned out. Happy DECEMBER you guys!!! It sure is crazy cold here today so I thought I would share my snowy wonderland - wish we could have snow here in GA. . I told myself, “no more putz houses” this year … I don’t need anymore. BUT, when I was out yesterday with @pocket.full.of.rye shopping up in Atlanta, I found the cutest tiny one. The tiny white one on the second shelf from the bottom with the red roof 🥹. Yup - it came home with me and found a spot right here in my “pinecone” village. Aren’t these pinecone people so much fun too!!! (And a little scary)! What is better is that Rob gave me an early Bday gift (December is my bday month BTW 😉) and gifted me a few new additions to my pinecone family. I will share the new ones tomorrow. I finished off this shelf with some red German candle holders - cab you spot them. Cheers to keeping collections going and putting them on display! We rolled back home after a long day of driving just in time for me to grab a photo of my mushroom tree. While many of you were enjoying a little Black Friday shopping- our little family went to visit a college campus with our son. He doesn’t graduate until 2026 but here we are … starting the process. I worked on my upstairs Christmas mantel today and the star of the show are these 5 wonderful gentlemen … In case you’re wondering, Belanickle “is a character from German folklore who was a companion to Saint Nicholas.” I need to learn more about him and his history for sure. .
