During the tour the guide told us the story of a fictitious family that lived in the house. It was beautifully told. It’s definitely one of those places I will visit again sometime soon. I highly recommend it if you’re ever in London. The inside is on my wish list of places I dream about photographing. Posted @withregram • @paulsmith6367 It's not uncommon to be walking around a village in the winter months with the phrase "I bet that house/scene" looks gorgeous in Spring and Summer" springing to mind. Such was the case for me on a recent walk around the pretty village of Cropredy in the far north of Oxfordshire near Banbury. This is a settlement whose name resonates quite widely because of the annual folk and rock music festival that has taken place in the area each August since 1976. August felt a long time distant on the damp and windy day when I was there. I judged the first home to be the best I saw, handsomely standing in a terraced row with its duck egg blue door. As with all old north Oxfordshire homes (and the adjacent areas of Warwickshire/Northamptonshire) this one is built from ironstone and gives the impression of being made from gingerbread. December is now nearing its midpoint and we are all aware that Christmas is close. However one little milestone before then is when the shortest day of the year is reached.
