How the Korean language table looks like? 👇 Students in the university of Notre Dame learned how to cook 5 popular Korean soups, customs and traditions related to each soup. 🍜At the end of the lesson, we designed their own creative soup, drawing on the white board with teammates. 🎨Also we tasted Korean soups, Miyeokguk, Yukgaenang, Bukeoguk (미역국, 육개장, 북어국) and spicy cup noodles! Everyone did a great job. This was a great opportunity to get to know food culture, especially Korean soups. 🍲 As an organizer/teacher it was really grateful to meet students who are interested in Korean culture 🇰🇷😘 Notre Dame’s Korean minor offers academic and cultural programming as well as opportunities for study abroad, international research, and internships. 👍 If you’re interested in Korean culture, feel free to join! 🇰🇷 Our next event “Korean Language Table” will be on November 1th on Wednesday at 7pm! Please support our Korean program, following @ealcnotredame and @cslcnd 🇰🇷🇰🇷 Welcome to the Korean Program of the Notre Dame ❤️💚 #notredamekorean #koreandresses #koreanminor #koreanprogram #notredamekorean #koreannotredame #ndkorean #koreanculture #learnkorean #ndkorean #koreannotredame
Korean Hanbok with Cherry 🍒 Let me introduce you Korea’s traditional attire, Hanbok! 🌸✨ Women wear a jeogori 저고리 (jacket) paired with a flowing chima 치마 (skirt), while men don a jeogori 저고리 with baji 바지 (trousers). Each element is designed for comfort and movement, reflecting Korea’s deep appreciation for nature and harmony. Traditionally, hanboks feature bright colors and symbolic patterns, making them perfect for festive occasions like weddings, Seollal (Lunar New Year), and Chuseok (Harvest Festival). Today, modern adaptations bring this classic style into everyday life, blending the old with the new. What I’m wearing on this photo is also “modern Hanbok”! Whether for a special event or just to celebrate Korean heritage, the hanbok is a great way to connect with history and tradition. That’s why I used to wear Hanbok in the USA 🇺🇸🔥 Would you like to wear Korean hanbok? 🤗 #Hanbok #KoreanTradition #CulturalHeritage #koreanheritage #TraditionalKorea #koreanhanbok #hanbokkorea
Why Korean Cherry decided to come to America? Hello, I’m your Korean language teacher, Cherry🍒 Today I would like to tell you what I decided to come to America. One day I saw a notice that there is an American & Korean government grant program that supports Korean language teachers to work in the States. 👩🏫 The program provides teachers with salary and flights. ✈️ I thought It would be very great opportunity to meet American students who are interested in Korean and I applied to it. Luckily, I passed all the difficult rounds and got the grant. I passed the visa interview and finally arrived to the States.🇺🇸 I’ve been teaching Korean language for more than 3 years. ✨ But I have taught Korean to Russian speaking learners, not to English speaking learners. So it is a very big challenge for me to meet English speaking students and teach Korean in English. 🤔 However, I believe that my decision was right. 🥰 I applied for the grant program which will leave precious memories as a Korean language teacher in America. I hope I could have a great time here. I will do my best to spread Korean culture in America and also I really hope to be exposed to American culture. Please wish me a good luck in the States! Let’s begin “Cherry in the States”🇰🇷🍒🇺🇸

The running man of the traffic light in Taiwan was quite impressive for me and our family 🤣🤣 How does the traffic light look in your country? 엄마랑 할머니랑 떠난 대만 여행! 날씨도 따듯하고 사람들도 친절하고 음식도 맛있었어요. 그런데 예상외로 제일 기억에 남는 건, 빨리 달리는 신호등 캐릭터네요. ㅋㅋㅋ #taiwan #taiwantravel #taiwantrip #koreanlook #learnkorean #taipei
