Chunky soil-less mix recipe 🪴⬇️ Comment ‘mix’ and I’ll send you the 🔗 Recipe: 🪴Coco coir (this allows the mix to hold a bit more moisture) 🪴Coconut chunk (chips): majority of the mix is this (chunkier the better) 🪴Horticultural charcoal 🪴Orchid bark (again chunkier the better) 🪴Chunky perlite (Mix and reevaluate: does it need anything more or is it good) This time I added: 🪴 Regular perlite 🪴Tree Fern fiber I will repot some plants this week and update you guys with how my plants enjoy this mix! Before I wouldn’t add the coir but my ambient anthuriums were getting dry rot because I would forget to water.. this will get them to last a little longer! IKEA cabinet customizations can be pricey! This hack is a great way to add extra spots for your plants without breaking the bank! I paid less than 15$ for this customization! This cabinet was a cheaper option as well! If you want to get an Ikea greenhouse this is a great one to start with! (Rudsta Tall) You can also set these jars up with any substrate you want! This queen was struggling so I potted her up in stratum and perlite! But you can do water, leca and moss! The hook was strong enough to hold the weight of the plant, stratum and water! Funky anthurium getting a chop! I got this fun anthurium from @plantsbymarc. He told me this was a fast grower and holy! I’ve had to up pot it once (almost twice) and it’s hitting the top of the cabinet now. It was easy to root when I first got it so that’s why I decided to give it a chop! The most pollen I have collected yet!🌱 Only collect pollen for later if you don’t have a receptive inflo! Cause if you do you can just rub the two together! I have made two crosses with this crystal so far! From what I understand as more inflos are produced they get bigger but also produce more pollen! (At this that’s what this plant is doing) I want to experiment with different crosses but I don’t want to let any pollen go to waist! Comment pollen questions below! The pollination attempts continue! In this video I’m pollinating my NOID with a crystal x NOID I collected a little pollen from this plant so I used that at first! Then I saw there was still some on the inflo I used that as well to make sure the receptive inflo was covered as well. Not knowing the type of plants these are make it harder to tell if these two are going to be compatible but I’m all about experimenting! I think this would be a fun cross! What do you think?
