Check out these before and after pictures of my corner makeover in France. The Empire commode is a real eye-catcher, isn't it? The granite pedestal in the corner adds some drama and elegance and completes the composition. The big bronze lamp makes a much better impact than the previous lamp. The bentwood chair on the left creates a not perfectly symmetrical balance with the pedestal on the right. A personal favorite are the bronze wall sconces from Marketplace that I fitted with these salmon little shades from ALDoge on Etsy 🤩. So incredibly unique in its mix and vibe with pieces of many styles and periods. Love the bold blue popping up in lots of places. And as a cherry on the cake Antoine @louppyau also showed me his parents' house that he helped to decorate. I'm completely in love with the yellow dining room with Indian Yellow by @farrowandball 💛💛💛. A big 17th century cabinet originally from the village's old château, a Dutch brass chandelier and lots of Delft pieces reminiscent of Antoine's mom's Dutch origins complete the room. The staircase is wonderful as well and full of family portraits.
