Today Benny and I said goodbye to our very best friend. The greatest act of love, is not allowing you to suffer a day longer. My favorite thing about Raffi was his ability to make people feel so loved in an instant. As humans, we have a deep desire to be seen and be loved. It seems hard for us to do for each other as flawed humans at times. It wasn’t for Raffi. May you all have felt his love for you and for life. To feel seen. As you are. May you all have seen a glimpse of Jesus’s love for you through him. As a little girl who was so confused about love, he cleared it up for me. You created the blueprint of love for the rest of my life. You spent your entire life loving me, and I’ll spend the rest of mine missing you. 🪽 I’ll love you forever. My favorite wildcat. To the moon. 🌙

unfortunately this afternoon I got the news I was afraid to hear. Raffi hasn’t been feeling well for a couple of weeks and I knew something was off. I wanted to share an update since I know he has touched many of you, too. he had a mass removed in October that was cancerous. At the time it was not anywhere else. Today, I can’t say the same. He has been my absolute best friend since I was 15. He showed me how to love & how it can change someone’s life, just by a small interaction of kindness. He’s made me feel so loved since the day he was born in my childhood home. The next couple of days I’m going to be present, letting him know how much he is loved by me and so many. It’s been one of toughest and most joy-filled honors of my life to take care of him, but I won’t let him suffer. Love works both ways. When I hop back on with words to share, I was thinking it would be really cool for anyone to drop in the comments a sweet memory of Raffi or how he touched them. I’ll need it to get me through. Thank you for letting us share a little bit of our journey. To the moon 🌙
