✨Sharing a more personal side of myself today✨ My creative journey started since I was little. I’ve always loved fashion, but I never realized it was a hidden talent of mine. For those who don’t know, back home in Curaçao, I lead a Carnival Group with over 700 members each year. @alegria_curacao Even though I have always been in charge of creative direction, I have never brought a costume to life from sketch to final product all by myself. This year I took the leap! I decided to design my own costumes, starting with sketches to creating patterns, selecting colors, fabrics, and decorative materials. It was a big challenge, to bring my african-themed concept to life through the lens of Curaçao’s Carnival, but seeing the crowd reaction made it all worthwhile.
