Before taking the streets of the UK & TikTok by storm in 2024, DJ AG pursued a career as an artist, going by the name Untitled MC. AG started out on Pirate Radio, Axe FM. Other MC’s known to frequent Axe at the time were Meridian Crew, Cold Blooded, Black The Ripper, to name a few (Slide 2). They were one of the first stations to livestream their shows, the foundation for the evolution of platforms we know and love today, like Victory Lap. The oldest videos admin could find of AG dated back to the 2005/6 Axe FM Clash Competition. MC’s would face off on livestream and winners would progress through to the next round. AG took part in the live clashes, often vexing his opposition with some wild bars, even putting a mop (repeatedly) on Zorro’s head in one (Slide 3). Would he have done this if he wasn’t being filmed? Likely not, but it’s clear this platform helped him develop his personality and grow into the live streaming showman he is today. Another clash with Blade loses his shit and jumps at AG. (Slides 4+5) Found an Axe FM set Ft. Skepta, Scorcher & Frisco, where a young AG can be seen. Little did he know Skepta would be standing alongside him in Kings Cross some 20 years later (Slides 7+8). In 2008 he presents his debut mixtape, “Misconceptions”. The project was 17 tracks deep, featuring production from Rude Kid, Z Dot & Royal T amongst others (Slides 9+10). Following this he formed the group, “Behave Yourself”, dropping their debut project ‘Entity’ in Summer 2009 (slide 11). Later that year, AG would drop a more commercial attempt with the mixtape, “Mind Warp” featuring lead single, “Getting Older”. Admin got hooked on this track. It has something infectious about it (Slide 12). Untitled dropped another mixtape, “Real Life Drama” (Slide 13), before moving away from MCing and rebranding to DJ AG in 2012. Came across a clip of him performing for Time Out magazine in 2010 in what seems to be a pub (Slide 13). 14 years later = Londoner Of The Year. Full Circle.
