Bottom layer: 17” shoulder/14”armholes/38” bust/28” waist (fits 26”-27” waists best)/19” long in front/14” long in back. Has a small hole in the mesh in front, nbd hard to notice. Delicate pintucks and dotted Swiss accent the sleeves. Crocheted lace back of collar and waistline. Faintly darker along back of neckline. Not noticeable when worn. The detail of the frame is incredible! The sitter in photo is a very young woman, approx.16-20 years of age. I believe she is Italian, as well. An unusual antique folding fan. Circa 1920’s. celluloid covered wood handles with a village scene. Brass tips. Body of fan is wheel shaped. Celluloid coated cloth woven through with pink silk ribbon. 9.5” tall, closed. Fan wheel is 9”x 9”, opened. Had a 1” tear on crease, nbd- easy fix with tape. SOLD A fabulous antique French compact purse/wallet. Circa 1870’s. Calfskin, with violet moire silk lining. 4”x 2.25”x.75”. RARE. Contains eight compartments, including a sewing kit. The kit includes a cut steel needle case, button hook, and two celluloid thread cards. There is a .75” loop on back, for attaching to a belt, if so desired. This object was designed for women’s daily use. The latch is a most unusual mechanism, which will perplex the uninitiated, and safely secure the contents. Super great antique condition.
