Architecture studio Al-Jawad Pike (@aljawadpike) drew on wabi-sabi design principles for the Holy Carrot restaurant on London's Portobello Road, which features stone, timber and clay plaster. Founded by former Vogue Ukraine producer Irina Linovich, the restaurant was designed with muted tones to amplify the menu's "colourful and lively" plant-based dishes, which include ingredients ranging from coral tooth mushrooms to grilled watermelon. Dezeen and SketchUp's (@sketchup_official) Design Workshops video series continues with the first part of a workshop delivered by London-based interior designer Tola Ojuolape (@tolaojuolape.studio). Across the video series, leading designers describe how they created interior environments commissioned especially for the workshops. In part one of her workshop, Ojuolape explains how she used SketchUp's software to design the interior of a craft-focussed library informed by the history and character of Clerkenwell, London. SketchUp is 3D design software used to model architectural and interior design projects, product designs, civil and mechanical engineering and more. It is owned by construction technology company Trimble. Watch the full Design Workshop on Dezeen.com #BD4D #SketchUp3D #DezeenxSketchUp #paidpartnership
