Artistic and expressive. Clarence House’s new À La Japonaise collection draws inspiration from documents, artifacts and cultural references to Japan. Rooted in the classical art of Japanese ink painting, Kazumi created this impressionistic drawing of leaves fallen on top of a moss garden. Using free movements of brushstrokes gives Asuka a contemporary character. Asuka Sisal is printed on a sisal ground. Asuka Sisal II is printed on a sisal ground with an underlayer of metallic paper creating a unique color effect. Explore more from Clarence House’s À La Japonaise collection online.

Evocative and elegant. Create lovely spaces with Clarence House's À la Japonaise collection! Yuri Print was derived from a French hand-block printed fabric dating from around the late 1920s to the mid 1930s. Yuri has strong ‘Deco’ influences, and the exuberance of the pattern echoes that of the Ballet Russes. The work of Diaghilev is likely to have crept into textile design around this time and is reflected in this exquisite graphic floral design of lilies and peonies. Yuri means “lily” in Japanese, and this pattern honors the beauty of Japanese lilies. Yuri Print WP is printed on a matte paper substrate for a boldly patterned wallcovering that pairs beautifully with our Yuri Print fabric. View more from our À la Japonaise collection online.
