While planning the itinerary, I read a lot about how expensive USJ tickets are, how long the queues are, and how people had to rush or run to Nintendo World to just…get a slot. Nope, not for us. Besides, we were already going to Disneyland ✨ Shortlisted two local amusement parks, this and Ikomasanjo Amusement Park. Decided on this just cos it’s nearer to the city and only needed us to change trains once ✌🏻 You can pay just for admission, then pay for individual rides, but I would recommend getting the all-day pass because they are really quite strict about safety here (parent accompaniment required for most rides, they check every single seatbelt and require you to exit as a group etc). And the place is very aptly named ONEDERLAND. It truly was a wonderland (so freaking big!!) with so many play areas suitable for every age. I really liked how safety is obviously an emphasis, children are tagged according to age and some steeper slides were out of bounds for the younger ones (yes we tried to sneak past but failed haha). The playground just opened in November 2024 so yes everything still looks very new. We paid 660THB for each child and just 220THB for each accompanying adult for 3 hours. There were seats everywhere within the playground, seats outside, a cafe and even a convenience store. I also liked how there were washing points EVERY corner. Didn’t expect the cafe to be so cute!! Really small place but the merchandise 😍 The desserts were also surprisingly delicious and the staff were so friendly and crazy generous with samples. Heard that Banthat Thong was the new trending landmark especially for food and desserts so we knew we had to make a visit. My pinned points are all down a single lane so it was surprisingly a nice easy walk, even with a stroller. 1. Siam’s Royal Coco Milk Mango Dried mango is great but mango sticky rice in a snack? THIS IS IT. Mango itself isn’t overly sweet, and becomes a total flavour burst with the coconut milk coating and yes crispy beans even. Individually packed which I love even more, and so addictive we finished one packet in one go. There’s also dried durian for all you (erps) durian lovers. 2. Lays Max Potato Chips Crisps with deep ridges, super flavourful too with real chilli bits and seaweed rolls. We’ve only tried the seaweed rolls and C is already impressed, I’ve also seen many good reviews for the habanero ones! 3. Milk Tablets Super popular now, tastes like the Horlicks sweet, a local friend tells me that the elephant brand one is the best. People were buying these IN BULK NO KIDDING. 4. Nautilus Tuna Spread with Crackers Again similar to what we have back home, but wow the flavours here?! Heard there was a new water park (revamped!) so we just had to check it out. Went on a weekday evening and it was pretty packed but there was enough space for fun play still. Found this way more fun than the one at GBTB, though I’d say it seemed more suited for kids aged 6 and below. Admission is free, and it got cooler only after 6 pm. Also nearby toilets were a short distance away, and there are no shower rooms on site!!
