Many people like to pair Kyoto & Osaka in the same trip but do you know there is a way to travel between these two cities while visiting another two cities? This is our favourite route between the two cities through Uji & Nara. This route is not the fastest but allows us to explore more of Kansai. But do remember to ship your luggage between hotels if you’re doing this so there is no need to lug your luggage around. We dropped our luggage at Kyoto’s hotel lobby before 9am in the morning and it arrived at Osaka’s hotel when we checked in around 4pm in the afternoon. Water is a big part of our morning routines and this year, we made the decision to switch to a better water dispenser. This @sg_novita W16 water dispenser is a plug and go machine that does not require any professional installation or drilling into our carpentry or counter top. 2024 has been a really great year to our family. We haven’t had many challenges throughout the year and most of 2024 were spent in laughter, especially with these two who grew up so much in the past year. We’ve had so many 说走就走 trips where we just booked our flights or accommodation a few days in advance and traveled without any plans. Hoping that we’ll have more of such trips in 2025 where we get to learn, grow and create memories together as a family 💛💛

Got the chance to dress the kids up before the end of 2024 but as usual, we can never get a good photo with these two cheeky kids. Nevertheless, I’m thankful that these two grew up so well in the past year. Looking forward to an even better 2025 💛💛

Aglio e Olio is one of our favourite dish for busy work nights because it’s so easy to cook and doesn’t require many ingredients. We usually use spaghetti for this dish but decided to try using @sanremosg newly launched Orecchiette pasta this time and it was such a game changer. We love how easy it was to boil Orecchiette cause we don’t have to worry about pots being too small for long pasta. The unique shape also allows the sauce to seep into the folds and crevices of the pasta, making the final dish so much more flavorful than our previous attempts using spaghetti. We’ve always been engaging part time helpers when the kids are not at home but @oneheartcleaning was fully booked on the day we wanted so we decided to try a night cleaning session instead. This session turned into one filled with laughter and exasperation cause the kids couldn’t stop disturbing the helper throughout the 3hrs. I had to run around the house to ensure our kids don’t cause trouble for her. Really thankful that the helper was so kind to laugh with our kids and kept assuring us that it was ok. She kept her composure and made sure everything was properly cleaned even with all the disturbance from our kids. We found the most kids friendly hotel in KL City Centre! The hotel itself was so much fun that we wanted to stay in all day. Didn’t have a chance to try out the pool cause we didn’t bring our swimwear along but we’ll definitely be back to try it out cause it looks really fun. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a very reasonable price tag. We booked their regular twin room (their cheapest room) and it came with 2 double beds which fits our family of 4 well.
