Family Archive: This past week, I had the pleasure of spending time with family in South Carolina and was inspired via. @blackarchives.co to archive and label family photos. It further reinvigorated my dedication to this page and shared history. I was able to put together several albums to commemorate the lives of family members as well as hear their stories through my parents. There were several photos I had never seen before, but all bore striking resemblances to family members I know and love today. All the above photos were taken in Cameroon (mostly) where my family is from. Photo 1: A photo of my father (standing far right), his parents (seated directly below him), my Aunt Florence to my Grandfaters left, her husband, and one of his relatives. My Grandmother holds my Aunts first child, her Granddaughter. This photo was taken in 1969. Photo 2: This is a photo of my Paternal Great-Grandmother, Ma Asem, taken by my father in the 1980's. She is the oldest relative we have photographed. Photo 3: This is a photo of my maternal Grandmother Ojong. The photo may have been taken in Nigeria as she remarried there after she and my grandfather split. Photo 4: The photo ontop is of my paternal Grandmother and her younger sister taken in the 70's. The photo below is of my maternal Grandfather seated at my parents' home sometime in the 90's. Photo 5: This final photo includes an image of my mother as a teenager in the early 1980's, and below my father and a friend of his in the late 1970's.
