At the start of this year we were tired of feeling overstimulated and stressed out during dinner. Prepping, cooking and cleaning after seemed like a huge chore. I decided to change up the way we do things. 1: a 10 min tidy before dinner. Nothing crazy but just a quick pick up and wipe down the counters. That way our minds can feel clear and we can enjoy prepping and cooking dinner. Turn on some relaxing music and make a mock tail to sip on while cooking. 2: meal prep for 1-2 nights a week. On Sunday I’ll make a big dinner with enough leftovers to have it 1-2 more times on nights we don’t feel like cooking 3: simpler meals! I will make a “recipe” 1-2 nights a week. But the other nights it’s just a meat, veg and carb like potatoes or rice. It makes things really easy when shopping for the week too. On the weekends we usually go out 1 night and eat with family 1 night too. 4: early dinner. We usually eat around 5-5:30 that way we can do something together as a family after dinner. Plus, it gives your body more time for your food to digest. If you have any other tips or things you love doing let me know!
