Hadzabe tribe men eating uncooked cow intestines, a practice rooted in survival and ancient traditions. As one of the last true hunter-gatherer tribes, the Hadzabe waste nothing from their hunts, honoring the animal and nature’s gifts. Eating raw organs provides quick access to vital nutrients, a necessity in the wild. This is more than food—it’s a way of life, passed down for generations. 🌍 #HadzabeTribe #Survival #AncientTraditions”

The Arab conquest of North Africa, also known as the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb, was a series of campaigns that took place from 647–709 AD: The conquest began after the death of Muhammad in 632, when the Muslim armies quickly conquered the Arabian peninsula. The Umayyad Caliphate, the second major Arab caliphate, led the conquest of the Maghreb region, which is west of Egypt. The Arabs brought Islam, language, and customs to the Berber tribes of the Sahara. The Arab conquest had a lasting impact on the culture of the Maghrib. By the 11th century, the Berbers had become Islamized and in part also Arabized. The Arab conquest also led to the African slave trade, with millions of people taken from sub-Saharan Africa across the Sahara. In 2010, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi apologized for Arab involvement in the African slave trade. #africahistory

The name of the boy is Zanziman Ellie. He is often referred to as the real-life Mowgli. According to reports, he was called monkey by his known people which forced him to move to the jungle to live with wild animals. Zanziman earned the title real-life Mowgli after a documentary about his life was posted on YouTube in 2021. He was compared to Mowgli, the boy raised by wolves in the classic Disney film The Jungle Book, which is how he got the name. Zanziman was forced to run away from home because of some cruel bullies which made his life miserable.

Dankoli fetish, an important place of Voodoo cult: thousands of little sticks are pushed in the fetish as witnesses of the countless prayers made to the local god by the adepts to satisfy their everyday needs: a good harvest, a happy wedding, an easy delivery, a success at school etc. Once their prayers are answered, they come back to sacrifice what they promised to the fetish that is a goat, a chicken or a cow according to the nature of the prayer. Traces of blood, palm alcohol and palm oil on the fetish prove that a lot of pilgrims had their prayers answered.
