Founder’s Restaurant is a cozy quaint weekend brunch spot inside of one of Winston Salem’s most historic bed and breakfast. . The food here is made with local fresh ingredients and cooked with love. It’s like your favorite brunch classic with a unique and modern twist. . Everything we had was incredible, if you love a sweet breakfast, you’ll love the blueberry French toast. It was so fluffy and aesthetically pleasing💙 . I was a huge fan of the shrimp and grits. This dish had some BOLD flavors. It has bacon, sausage and shrimp and the sauce was flavorful and cooked just right! . If you like to keep things classic, you’ll love the traditional breaksfast. You can choose how you want your eggs cooked, your choice of bacon or sausage, house fries and your choice or biscuits or toast. . Last but not least, the bengiets were out of this world! They were so flakey on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. Highly recommend! . Come have lunch with us at @jjs_mama_soulfood 🍗 . JJ’s mama’s is probably one of the BEST soul food spots in the area. Today was our first time and we definitely didn’t leave disappointed. . It’s very homey on the inside of the restaurant, it really does make you feel like you’re at your granny’s house for Sunday dinner. . We tried the BBQ baked chicken, their world famous collards (which were incredibly tender) yams, teriyaki salmon over rice, Mac and cheese, green beans and two fried legs. . As I mentioned in the video, I’ve been to a ton of restaurants in the area and I can confidently say, @jjs_mama_soulfood DONT PLAY! . You have to get the fried chicken when you come here as well as the Mac and cheese. Everything was a 10, and our server, Asia took great care of us! We can’t wait to come back. .
