Sleep is a beautiful mix of haunting and tranquil moments, all woven together. It acts as the bridge to a new day, providing us with an opportunity to start afresh and welcome change. For many of us, dreams and nightmares hold profound significance, prompting some of us to actively pursue interpretation. Sadly, these visions often bring unsettling emotions, as our natural tendency to worry tends to take over. Sometimes, when I'm having a bad day, I cook up a whole feast just for myself while listening to folk songs that remind me of home. After that, I take a hot shower and look forward to eating the meal I prepared just for me. Ever since my parents’ divorce, all I was ever taught was how to be alone and how loneliness can be fun too. In that loneliness, my mind went places. From forests to snowcapped mountains, to the beach or some vacant village. Whether it be in real life or living in mysticism, I imagined it all. Creating stories came naturally to me... even though I was timid. More like scared, scared of what the world would think of me. But after all that, I am glad it’s what I get to do today. The moment I saw this sketch, I fell in love with it. It took me back in time and made me remember the kinds of cartoons or stories I loved watching. From Satyajit Ray’s “Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne” to Disney’s “Atlantis” to Ghibli’s “Spirited Away”, they all just made me so giddy with Joy that I would borrow them again and again from our nearby CD store. This has made me miss home more than ever. Thank you @unrest_mind for letting me peek through your notebook to see a world where I would be happy.
