Last week was an exciting and eventful one for Infinite Studios! From prestigious accolades to new projects and industry recognition, here’s a look at some of our key highlights: 1. Honored at the Asian Academy Creative Awards: We were thrilled to be nominated in four categories, including Best Drama Series, Best Original Production by a Streamer (Fiction), Best Direction (Fiction) and Best Cinematography (Fiction). Thank you AACA for a memorable evening celebrating the art of storytelling and creativity! 2. Losmen Melati 2 Announcement: At the ATF Market during IMDA’s Singapore Hour at SG Pavilion, we shared the exciting news, alongside our partner Catchplay, that we’re working on the sequel to Losmen Melati. Production is set to begin early next year! 3. Co-Producing Emerald Butterfly: We’re proud to announce our involvement in Dutch director Martin Koolhoven’s Emerald Butterfly, following the signing of a co-production treaty between the Netherlands and Indonesia at the JAFF Market in Yogyakarta. Filming begins in 2025, with sets built at our Batam facilities. 4. Virtual Production: IMDA’s latest initiatives highlight the rapid growth of virtual production in Singapore and we are proud to be recognized as one of the three full-scale virtual production studios supporting international projects and training. 5. Orang Ikan at SGIFF: Orang Ikan made its SEA premiere at the 35th Singapore International Film Festival 2024, following its world premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival in October and its screening at the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival (Italy) in November.
