Offers that feel too good to be true. Picking the same bottle every time or grabbing something random and hoping for the best because the label looked nice! That’s exactly why I started The Wine Wally. Not to be an expert. But to figure this stuff out and pass it on in a way that actually makes sense to us! So I blagged my way into tastings, supermarket head offices, winemaker chats and trade events. Gimmick or Genius? £68 wine that’s lived at the bottom of the sea! I got sent a bottle of this to try from @sirensamphora and at £60 odd quid a pop I was gagging to give it a go! This red comes from Priorat, one of Spain’s most respected wine regions, known for knocking out some seriously good wines! It’s produced by @elixsea_wines an innovative winery founded by Gergő and Mariona. Their unique approach combines traditional winemaking with underwater aging techniques. The idea is that pressure, cold, darkness and motion work together to soften tannins and speed up the ageing process giving you the depth of a mature red with the brightness of a younger one. #seawine #scubawine #weirdwine #winereview #scuba
