Rightmove vs Now - we’ve lived here for 11 years (well me and my son have, OH and daughter came later 😂) and my style is constantly evolving but one thing I’ll take from these pics is that although there’s 10 times more stuff in these rooms now they somehow look bigger? . As you can see from these pictures, there was nothing awful about this house, it was newly renovated and was a lovely blank canvas for me to put my stamp upon. Which room is the most unrecognisable do you think?! Oh and guess which room I painted the day after I moved in?! . . . #rightmove #homemakeover #terracedhouse #budgetmakeover #renovationideas #bohohomedecor

ad| One of the best things about Christmas is cheese, FACT! 🧀 Forget the turkey and mince pies I am all about a really, really good cheese board and all the accompaniments, who’s with me? Even better, a Christmas cheese hamper stuffed with all sorts of delicious goodies. This is the Christmas cheese & port wicker hamper from @snowdoniacheese . The Snowdonia Cheese company creates award winning cheeses made from the finest natural ingredients and a whole host of delicious accompaniments to elevate your cheese eating experience. We’re talking chutneys and relishes, the most amazing hot cheese bakes (my family are obsessed with these!) artisan baked crackers, delicious port, Sicilian olives and the finest chocolate truffles. . Put them all in a beautiful wicker hamper with a slate board included for your cheese and you have the perfect gift or just the best gift for yourself and the family this Christmas! (Now I’m just sad that we ate all the yummy cheese way before Christmas 😂) . . . #snowdoniacheese #christmashsmpers #giftideas #cheesehamper #finefood #cheeseboardsofinstagram #cheeseboard #welshcheese #finecheese

Christmas blackboard wall. Had lots of fun drawing this one but might do another closer to Christmas, see how much time I’ve got! Wrapping my presents up today and maybe filming a few wrapping ideas along the way. Have you got all your presents yet? . We’ve got a super festive weekend ahead, my daughter’s school’s Christmas fair, then a Christmas lunch out with my mum in a country pub, back to Brum for a Santa visit at the beautiful @sellymanor then buying the Christmas tree and back home to decorate it (that’s one day, not sure if that’s possible 😆) Then on Sunday Mr G and I are off down to Bristol for a little Xmas break to the @hotelduvin - dinner, cocktails, shopping etc. phew! What are you up to this weekend? . . . #blackboardart #chalkboardartist #blackboardwall #christmasdecor #homemadechristmas #illustratorsoninstagram #rudolphtherednosedreindeer

Just a few shots I took around the house yesterday. Apart from the tree, which we’re getting this weekend, I’ve kept the decorations to a minimum, well sort of, yes the fireplace garland is far from minimal 😂 I just feel my house has quite a lot going on anyway so it feels really cluttered if I do too much, however big the temptation to tie a bow to everything! Have you decorated yet? And do you go crazy decorating or keep it simple? . How to make a fold out snowflake decoration. I’ve used wallpaper for this (I have lots of old rolls!) you can use anything, printer paper, brown paper, wrapping paper. You’ll need 24 identical pieces, the size is up to you, I used a piece slightly narrower than an A4 sheet of paper for a big snowflake. . It’s a similar process to making a paper bag star but you starting from scratch and making your own kind of open ended paper bags, if that makes sense! Anyway any questions just ask. Have fun making these and save this reel for reference! . . . #homemadechristmas #papersnowflakes #papercrafts #sustainablechristmas #homemadedecorations #christmasdecorations

This year’s advent calendar and mantle display in one! Yes I was feeling a bit lazy so I combined the two 😂 I was a bit worried that since I decorated in here the wallpaper wouldn’t work as well with a big decorated mantle so I kept it (relatively) simple with greenery and then hung the presents on and just added these lovely brass ornaments I bought from @beryluneuk . To make the garland I made a chicken wire frame, held onto the wall with @command hooks. Then just poked in faux foliage, I used pine, hops and eucalyptus all from @coxandcox @abigailahern and @dunelmuk . The presents were wrapped in leftover wall paper scraps, you may notice I used some of the wall paper used in the room to tie it together. The presents are all hung onto the structure with little wire loops attached to their trimmings. If you swipe across there’s a pic of all the presents individually wrapped before making the calendar. Hope you like this years?! Happy Advent! . . . #adventcalendar #homemadechristmas #homemadeadventcalendar #sustainablechristmas #homemadedecor #fireplacedecor #mantledecor

My Christmas mantles over the last few years. Now someone commented on one of my posts the other day that one of the things they dislike about Instagram at Christmas is the annual ‘my garland is bigger than your garland’ competition 😂 . Ok I hold my hands up, GUILTY! Although it’s honestly not a competition for me I just can’t seem to do an understated mantle, it’s go big or go home as far as I’m concerned. . So which one is your favourite?! . . . #fireplacedecor #christmasgarland #homemadechristmas #naturaldecor #christmasmantledecor #garlandideas

These are from their new special edition chinoiserie collection. You may know how I adore chinoiserie so I love these so much! Look at the little detail of the butterfly on top of the salt grinder! 🖤 . I’ll pop a link on my stories for the whole range. . I’m off to London today for the spring/summer event for Dunelm’s new range at the OXO tower which should be lots of fun! Paper bag stars, a perennial favourite on insta and sharing this from last year as someone always asks for them (there’s a how to in stills in my highlights too) This is a super easy paper craft (unlike some I’ve done 🤪) and it’s nice to put a twist on the ever popular brown ones. . I spent the whole weekend filming Christmas ads and now am 99% cheese and Christmas decorations and now need a break from anything Christmas related 😂 what did you get up to?! . . . #christmascrafts #papercrafts #homemadechristmas #paperstars #paperdecorations #sustainablechristmas

How to make a beautiful wreath in 20 minutes, yes really! (Apologies for those of you that have already seen this I had to remove the original as it was so dark!) . Wreath making doesn’t have to be difficult, or expensive, you don’t need a fancy kit or expensive class. I made this wreath in 20 minutes (ok with some extra tweaking and faffing after) And it cost me zero pence! Everything I used I either had already or foraged from my garden. . The base is a twisted willow and half faux pine base that I got years ago (possibly from @dunelmuk but it’s so long ago I can’t be sure) anyway I use it every year to make my wreath. As the base is twisted willow I literally just stick in my foliage. No wiring, nothing complicated. I use a mix of dried, faux and real greenery. . As it’s mostly dried or faux it lasts for weeks and the real stuff I use - eucalyptus, tree ivy, olive branches and bay lasts really well and you can always spray with water to keep fresh and pull out and refresh bits as needed. . I’ll share links on my stories to similar or the exact foliage/wreath I’ve used. My top tips - more is more! I like it wild and not too perfect! I keep just adding lots of stuff until there are no gaps in the wreath. As its willow base (as opposed to wire frame) it’s really easy to just poke stems in. . Add all your greenery (faux and real) first to fill it out then I like to add dried bits such as dried flowers and stems (I pinch these out of floral arrangements around my house) . As a final touch I like a big dramatic bow, extra long and velvet this year and then I added some bells and a bird ornament (both tree decs) . Other things you could add - battery powered fairy lights, metallic baubles (just add a bit of wire to their hanging loop and twist them in. Pine cones or berries. Candy canes or sweets. A metal or wooden bead garland. Bird feathers such as pheasant or peacock feathers. . Save this and check my stories for sources, happy Friday! 😀 . . . #homemadechristmas #wreathmaking #diywreath #homemadedecorations #sustainablechristmas #christmaswreath
