When Eve first reached out about her senior session preferences, one of the things she mentioned in her pre-session survey was her love for wide open fields and that magical glow of the setting sun. 🌅✨ We kicked things off at Parkland high school (you may have seen the first part of her session already), but for part two, we headed to Trexler Game Preserve and it did not disappoint. From the sweeping views at the overlook to the charm of the Forge and the quiet beauty of the bridge, every location gave us something unique. I wanted to circle back and share the story behind this photo. 🌿🦋🌿 Hazel was exploring her parents’ garden when we spotted a beautiful butterfly resting on the ground. It wasn’t flying…. just still, delicate, and seemingly waiting for something. Her mom, Jessica, gently scooped it up and placed it beside Hazel where you see it in this photo. To our amazement, it sat there calmly for five whole minutes while we captured this moment. We later realized this butterfly had just emerged from its cocoon. Its wings were still drying, adjusting to the world. Then, as if on cue, just as we were getting ready to leave the garden, it lifted off and flew away. I hope Hazel always keeps that same sense of wonder.
