The @godox_global sponsored workshop was a full house, and the energy in the room matched it!! 50 fabulous photographers came out, and we had a great time utilizing the AD600ProII in real world urban environments that I love. I put this event together quickly ( in 10 days! ), but once we were all in the room, it was clear why it was worth it. Huge thanks to @chicagophotoclasses for coming through in the clutch! Much appreciated! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Workshops like this remind me that gear is one part of the story… but it’s the people who show up ready to learn, experiment, and push themselves that make the day what it is. Thanks to ALL the photographers and our lovely models who came out!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾 #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #portraitphotography
Flowers remind us that beauty can be both simple and undeniable. 🌸 📸- #Nikon Z8 + #NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 and Z 50mm f/1.8 S Light - #Westcott FJ400II + 2ft beauty dish #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #seniorportraits
Some people will cancel a shoot the moment the sky turns gray. I don’t. This was captured after a thunderstorm rolled through. Streets were still wet, and the sky was overcast enough to act like a giant softbox. The colors that the sky can often have after a storm are gorgeous. The goal wasn’t to fight the weather… it was to use it. Let the scene work for you. Whether the sun is out or hiding, there’s always a way to make it part of the shot. 📸 - #Nikon Z8 + #NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S Light - #Westcott FJ400II + 2ft Beauty dish #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #portraitphotography #seniorportraits
Celebrating World Photography Day, by highlighting how important memories are! I photographed this high school senior when he was a toddler. Sixteen years later, here we are again. Same eyes. Same quiet confidence. Just taller. ☺️ One of my favorite parts of my job is watching these full-circle moments unfold. The baby I photographed back then now stands in the middle of downtown Chicago like he owns it, and honestly, he kinda does. Capturing these full circle moments with clients is a reminder of why I love photographing people as they grow. We’re not just documenting what they look like. We’re capturing how they carry themselves. 👉🏽 to see my picture of him when he was TWO!! 😃 📸 - #Nikon Z8 + #NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S Light #Westcott FJ400II + 2ft Beauty dish #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #portraitphotography #seniorpictures #seniorphotographer
When I was going to capture this shot, I wanted the sun in the shot in some way. It wasn’t high noon, but it wasn’t golden hour either. Which honestly is one of my favorite times of the day. But we were literally just on the corner, and sometimes you have to keep it simple and stop and see the light you want. 😁 #Nikon Z6III + #NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S Light - #Westcott FJ400II + 2ft Beauty dish #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #seniorportraits #portraitphotography

I’ve always loved the lighting in the Barbie movie. There was something about the way cinematopher Rodrigo Prieto handled it that pulled me in. It felt clean, vibrant, and intentional… but still playful. That look stuck with me. I wanted to bring a bit of that into my own work. Not to copy it, but to take the parts that spoke to me and shape them into something that still felt like mine. This shot wasn’t about being dramatic. It was about balance. Strong light, soft tones, bold color, and a little edge to keep it grounded. 📸 - #Nikon Z8 + #NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S Light - #Westcott FJ400II + 2ft Beauty dish #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #portraitphotographer #seniorportraits
These two images were captured in the same alley. Same time. Same lens. Same lighting setup. …Different perspective. But I wasn’t aiming for the same look. During my Light Exposed workshop in Vancouver, BC we photographed this gorgeous young pageant girl. Light is proof that you can find beauty anywhere. 😊 📸 - #Nikon Z8 + #NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S Light - @westcottlighting FJ400II + 2ft Beauty dish #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #portraitphotography
I went to Vancouver BC and I stepped outside in the sun! This was captured at HIGH NOON. 😁 Full sun. No reflectors. No scrims. Just me, my subject, and a strobe. The red pops because it’s supposed to. The greenery in the background softens just enough, but it’s still there doing its job. I’ve always said it’s not about waiting for the right light. It’s about knowing how to work with the light you have. Even when it’s coming at you with full force. 😊 📸 - #Nikon Z8 + #NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 Light - #Westcott FJ400II + 2ft beauty dish #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #portraitphotography #seniorportraits
From my Light Exposed Workshop in Vancouver, BC. So many people online told me that I didn’t photograph this at high noon due to the shadows. Or that it was AI😅

I captured these during the Nikon Photowalk I led for BILD Expo. I really enjoy leading photo walks for Nikon. It’s always a great time to connect with other photographers and encourage them to lean into their own creative approach. Since the crowd was large, I gave instruction with the goal of making sure everyone could walk away with usable images. I never want my photowalks to turn into the Audrey show. I got my shots quickly so I could spend the rest of the time walking around and giving as much 1:1 instruction as possible. I chose this location because of the tall buildings and those cool tones in the background. Instead of trying to fight the fog, I made it part of the story. Then the rain came... and I let the natural light do its thing. I switched between the 20mm f/1.8 and the 85mm f/1.2 to get what I needed and kept it moving. This one was all about speed, clarity, and making space for others to create. 📸 - #Nikon Z8 + #NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 + 85mm f/1.2 Light - Ambient Model - @michal.elizabeth #nikonambassador #chicagophotographer #portraitphotography
