COVER STORY with @aplussingapore I always wanted my IG to be honest. To represent the work we do at She Loves Tech to uplift women entrepreneurs, but also to share the real ups and downs of my life as an entrepreneur. While I've always told the truth, I haven't always been balanced. I've overly focused on the struggles at times, and lately I realize I've only shared my successes. This month, I was lucky to have A+ magazine tell my story, and they nailed this balance wonderfully. I’ve gotten feedback from many about how relatable and encouraging it was. Yesterday, a former professor from Stanford who is now in venture capital, wrote to me saying this “by sharing your story they (women entrepreneurs) will realize that they are not alone, and that it's OK to reach out for help when they're burned out, depressed, and wondering whether they ought to continue.” A HUGE thank you to @thesecondmrhan and @aplussingapore for having me on your cover and for telling the @shelovestech story. My parents were so proud when I showed up to their office with a physical copy of the magazine and my mom was even prouder that I talked about my dad being my inspiration. So much more to share, which I will do so in other posts. Thank you all who have read the article, and thank you to all of you for following our journey and being a part of our @shelovestech tribe in big and small ways.

For being the voice to others who felt like they couldn’t. As the co-founder of She Loves Tech, my mission has always been to create a world where women are empowered to thrive in the tech industry. This recognition reaffirms my cofounders @rheasee and Virgi, and my team’s hard work and when we see the women whom we’ve helped, we know that we are making a difference in the world. Growing She Loves Tech from a small dream to a global community and organization has been an incredible journey, and I couldn't have done it without the support of all the amazing women, allies and partners in our community. Thank you all for believing in this vision and helping make it a reality. This award represents the strength of women collaborating, uplifting each other, and advocating for gender equality in technology. When I started my journey as a founder, I thought success was about having the right product, hard work, being smart and making the right decisions. I've been reflecting a lot on what my superpower is and I realise that my super power is that people FEEL my energy. So they get excited about the things that I am passionate about. People feel love when I am expressing love and compassion to them. When we got to not just meet, but host Song Joong-Ki at our @shelovestech HSBC Women’s World Championship at Marina Bay Sands on Friday. What surprised me most wasn’t how incredibly nice and considerate @hi_songjoongki was, but how he turned our community of very demure, mature, civilized women - investors, corporates, startup founders into #fangirls who refused to go back to their seats (scroll to the end). Women who I didn’t even expect to watch Korean drama turned up just for him. Wow this is definitely one for the books.

We had the best time with our family over Christmas. We spent time with my parents, my brother @bryanrobers and sister-in-law @atikagups before getting on a flight to see our little niece and A’s brother and sister-in-law for lots of cuddles and quality time. My year has been about a lot of changes and then ended with a big celebration for our 40th, that we got to do so with our fav @lamer products. I know that in my 40s, I want to take care of myself - my health, my skin, my brain and my soul. For my skin, I’m upgrading my usual La Mer routine to its #GenaissancedelaMer which I’ve never tried before! For my health and my brain, I’m using this time to unwind. I’m a very intense person and my #enneagram is a Type 3 - an Achiever. So I’m always on-the-go, always busy doing something and very goal oriented. My new coach @joycechen_coaching (so excited about this!) has given me my first homework: to do nothing and to let the universe and God speak to me during this time of rest. I totally got influenced by @crystallimlange and her Emsculpt experience so had searched the available clinics in Singapore and I found that Aura Clinic by @drkarensoh was one. Each session is 30 mins, and it’s recommended to do a few sessions. My main exercise is walking and I take the train and bus daily, and walk more than 10,000 a day. But it doesn’t give me any core strength and I really struggled with planks - I could only manage between 20 secs to 30 secs each time. Never made it past 40 secs. But after my ONE session, I managed to do 1.5 mins of planks. #Emsculpt is FDA approved to contract muscles beyond what is possible through voluntary effort, yielding better muscle tone. I’m on my journey to continue my #reverseaging. I’ll let you know in a few months how the results are. I’m excited to gain more core strength and it’s encouraging me to exercise more. Last week, I turned 40. This milestone has brought with it deep reflection—on who I am, how I’ve grown, and what truly defines me. And while I know I will continue to evolve, change, and grow, this year has made one thing crystal clear: who I am is shaped by the incredible people around me. How lucky am I to have a husband who sees the very best in me? Who reminds me every single day that “I can,” when I’m tempted to believe “I can’t.” His unwavering belief in me gives me the confidence to dream bigger and do better. And then there’s my *chosen family*—my friends. Over the past two months of celebrating with those dearest to me, I was reminded just how blessed I am to have friends who are for life. Friends I’ve known since I was 12, friends who have walked with me through every heartbreak, every milestone, and every triumph. If there’s one defining truth about me at 40, it’s this: I am surrounded by the best people. They are my greatest gift, and because of them, I live a truly beautiful life. Here’s to love, friendship, and everything we can become—together.
