6 years ago, we started our journey in animation with @aashiqabu’s GANGSTER and it still remains one of our favourite projects. . The sheer amount of story we got to tell in the 10 minute prologue sequence and on finishing that, being entrusted with the bloody-intense climax action sequence... it was an unbelievable opportunity and to this day we are amazed by the trust the filmmakers placed in us, we who had only made comics till then. . We were supported in this endeavour by the incredibly talented + all-round amazing team at Dreamcatcher Studios... this just wouldn’t have been possible without them. . GANGSTER made Kokaachi possible, it paved the way for all our future animation collaborations and we’re thrilled to finally be able to showcase the film’s prologue sequence. . 6 years ago, when @flyingunicornfilms reached out to us to create the title sequence for Lust Stories... it would be the fifth film we were working on. Little did we know that it would be a turning point in our lives - propelling our little, boutique animation studio forward, that we would go on to create animated & title sequences for another 30 films/ web series! Our journey over the past 10 years has been riddled with self-doubt and imposter syndrome… we’ve lost hope and come close to giving up (a few times)… so this win for Lust Stories 2 at @agifest24 is life-affirming, rewarding and humbling… We would not be here today without our collaborators and teammates who have been a part of this journey with us… all the - illustrators, artists, animators, compositors, typography designers, editors - who have co-created these sequences with us. They have trusted us, our ideas, our vision, put up with some crazy timelines, worked extra hard to meet impossible deadlines, given us their honest feedback, stood by us and pushes us beyond our comfort zone. THURAMUKHAM wins the Best Title Sequence for Film at @agifest24!! 🥳 We had never imagined in our wildest dreams that we’d ever get a call from Rajeev Ravi, let alone, a chance to work with him! 😌 Thank you, Rajeev-etta! This was the first time @mohithmohano had led the visual design on a title sequence we’d crafted. While he would go on to design many more with us, this one will always be special! @the.sixthfinger and @art_of_arijitghosh created the beautiful, fluid animation while @arxwork composed these shots together - the transitions towards the end are some of our favourites! The whole sequence came together with @sujithnavam’s elegant, hand-crafted typography gracing the slates.
