I’m at a loss for words as I finally hold Madanika in my hands—the work I recently completed for Aryagayathri Publications. I am deeply grateful for the love and support of the Almighty, which carried me through this journey. A heartfelt thank you to the esteemed writer, Dr. Sreedevi Ma’am, for placing her trust in my efforts and skills, even during a challenging period marked by illness. Your patience and faith mean the world to me. Seeing my work out in the market today fills me with immense joy and pride. Thank you all for your unwavering support—it truly means everything to me.

A beautiful day at Kochi!!❤️ This year's Indie Comix Fest @indiecomixfest Kochi was all about comics and community. There were many participants who were debutants, and were part of the @indycomicscommune, who had attended the meetups, online whatsapp group and got bit by the comics bug!! ☺️ Thanks to all participants who made the incredible comics and showcased the strength and variety of the medium of comics! Thanks to everyone who visited, and surprised us all by having deep, meaningful conversations with the creators about comics. Many went into analysis of the works by the creators at the table itself. Our special thanks to all the commune members who stood with ICF for both online and offline volunteer work. Starting from creating our mascot Kusruthi, creating incredible posters, creating profiles for all participants, then arranging all the tables and chairs, helping with loading and unloading them, handling registration desks, sticking posters, helping with marketing, the list goes on!! There is so much collaborative work that all of us have done!!❤️ Lets keep the momentum of commune forward. Join us, if you want to be part of this comics movement. Books of ICF Kochi!! #32 Books by Jai! "The Cities Beneath" arose out of a collaboration between Hyderabad and Hamburg. With pulp-inspired art by Fabian Stoltz and a script by Undurti, it is set amidst the killing fields of World War I. Creator Jai Undurti is a freelance journalist who writes on travel, chess and books for leading Indian publications. Books of ICF Kochi!! #31 Books by Asha! Ponni and the Goat Ponni and her pet goat turn everyday moments into grand adventures. From chasing butterflies to splashing in forest streams, they explore the world with innocence and wonder. Each page celebrates their unbreakable friendship, the beauty of nature, and the magic found in simple joys. Girl in the New City This book unfolds the journey of a girl as she transitions to a new city, reflecting on her memories of the previous one. It explores her challenges in adapting to the unfamiliar surroundings and captures her eventual embrace of the new city. Majeedka and Space Mackerel In the small coastal village of Dweepangadi, the villagers' favorite fish seller, Majeedka, and his quick-witted cat, Dhamu, bring fresh fish and cheer to everyone around them. But unknown to most, they both possess mysterious powers. When a ruthless villain arrives to spread chaos, Majeedka and Dhamu are forced to step up and save the day. As they close in on the villain’s identity, they find themselves facing a shocking truth. Will they defeat this powerful enemy, or will the village fall to the villain's evil plan? Creator Asha Theres is an author and illustrator originally from Calicut, Kerala. She is the creator behind ‘Ashante comics’. Asha enjoys telling stories through comics, illustrations and animations. With a background in architecture and design, she brings a fresh perspective to her work. She believes the world is filled with stories waiting to be shared; we just need to listen! Books of ICF Kochi!! #30 Books by Rose! Moonspaced is a graphic novel about a solitary witch named Lauvey and her life in a surreal, magical alternate world. Lauvey is in search of finding her true physical form and a place in the world, with her crow, Ruen. The book gives you glimpses at her journey, her encounters with creatures, experiences and finding love. Creator I am an artist based in Kochi, who spends more time inside my head with my characters than in the real world. Surreal worlds and queer art has been something I wished for as a kid, and now I get to bring it to people. 'Moonspaced' is the first comic I've co-written with my good friend, Abjana and illustrated by myself. The comic will be debuting at ICF Kochi 2024. Cheriya Manushyarum Valiya Lokavum Cheriya Manushyarum Valiya Lokavum (Small Men and the Big World) is an acclaimed comic strip by the film director G. Aravindan. The serial cartoon was published on the last page of Malayalam weekly, Mathrubhumi from 1961 to 1973. This masterpiece work is now compiled into a 783-page book by Ramu Aravindan, G. Aravindan's son. Creator Govindan Aravindan (23 January 1935 – 15 March 1991) was an Indian film director, screenwriter, musician, cartoonist, and painter. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award of Padma Shri in 1990.
