In pregnancy we always think it’s cute maternity pictures, gender reveals & baby showers but there are so many labor complications that leaves some heartbroken and then you have some stories that make for powerful testimonies. We’ve experienced them all. In 2015 I was 8 Months pregnant with my son Jerrell Jr and he stopped breathing out of no where After my pregnancy with him, we were made aware that any future pregnancies would have a scheduled induction day. We were okay with that. 2018 I gave birth to my son Legend and i was induced at 39 weeks. Fast forward to Nov 2022, I found out i was pregnant with my daughter and was also told then, that i would be induced with her. My induction was scheduled for July 5th 2023 at 2PM Everything started off smoothly and after about 27 hours in labor, the nurse noticed that with every push, baby girl heart rate began dropping. We were then made aware that the cord was around her neck and in a matter of 5 -10 minutes, we had to choose between still trying to push naturally and allowing the Doctors and Midwife to try to turn her & unwrap the cord or A Emergency C Section. My husband and i decided emergency C section to save our princess life. This was something we never would’ve imagine happening but the power of prayer, asking the right questions and following our gut, is the reason Miss Kennedy Skye Dinkins is here today! She made her entry into this world 7/6/2023 at 9:54PM!! 😍💕 In 16 years we will share this story with her & explain how one decision can change it all for someone 💐💕

On June 15th Exactly a month before my wedding , i learned that the young lady, i paid to make me a custom wedding dress was no longer responding to my messages or calls. I immediately became sad and depressed because what do you mean i don’t have a wedding dress a month before the wedding and i started this process over a year ago with my deposits and all. Fast forward to June 16, I’m in bed extremely emotional because my dream dress or so i thought wasn’t going to be on me at my wedding . I’m in bed at 8:30 am scrolling on ig and @bridalaffection pops up on my Instagram. I would normally scroll by pictures that pop up from pages I’m not following but something told me to click on it ! I clicked on the page and learned that, this shop is almost a hour away from my house . I think to myself what’s the worst that can happen now . I book an appointment online for 1pm that same day (June 16th) I leave my house and drive to @bridalaffection . From the moment i opened the door to the boutique, i was greeted at the door by a lovely young lady whose the manager i believe there. There was a mini chalk board that said Welcome Yvonne , she asked what style of dress was i interested in & She showed me a lot of dresses but we got it down to three . The first dress i tried on,i knew it was the one . I called up @broadwaythecomedian and she was just as excited as i was , she said try on dress 2 just to see . We facetime my sis Nikki too . They said dress 2 was cute , so i tried back on dress 1 and all three of us was sold ! I walked in at 1pm emotional because i didn’t have a dress and was hopeless and by 2 pm i walked out of @bridalaffection with my dream dress . This was all god !!!!!! I was able to get slight alterations on the upper part but not to much below the waist . 1 .It wasn’t enough time to make all of the alterations my wedding was in 4 weeks & 2- because of the beading & buttons they would’ve had to reconstruct to much and it may have not been put back as perfect as i wanted it to be ! Being a boy mom, you experience a different kind of love. We love all our babies but a son love for his momma is unmatched. Legend comes to me for ANY and EVERYTHING. I created a safe space him to feel comfortable enough to tell me everything. My favorite part, is hearing him say mom “you know you’re my bestfriend”🥹🥹 Legend is my rainbow baby! For those that don’t know what a rainbow baby is, it’s a baby born after a miscarriage, stillbirth or death of infant from natural causes. 7 years ago legend saved my life because i was in a badddd mental space and was very heartbroken after several pregnancy losses beyond my control. I was lashing out and hated everything and everyone. But my baby took me out of that dark place!!! Thank you God ❤️❤️🥹 i cried real bad, the moment i heard him cry when i pushed him out. My eyes were so puffy and i could not believe i was finally a mom 🥰! Boy moms tap in 💙💙💙

IM SORRY COME GET THESE KIDS, WE COMING BACK 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Just kidding I’m never moving back (god willingly) but it has been a HUGE adjustment moving away from all of our loved ones to start a new chapter in our life. I’m normally in the house 90% of the time, but on those days when you need a mommy day out and your husband is locked into work or you need a date night out, with your husband or you want to go out with your married friends for brunch, it’s rough. People will scream, hire a nanny! But if you know me, i don’t play about my kids and i don’t allow any and everyone to watch them. Trusting strangers with my kids is a very hard thing to do. My son didn’t go to daycare until he was able to speak. I also put him in a school that had cameras when he started daycare. He’s 6 now and tells everything. My challenge is my baby girl, she’s 20 months, she speaks very well but not full sentences yet, she’s also homeschooled and I’m just not ready. Moving out of state and no baby sitting is rough but as a parent, we will always put our babies safety first. This year my goal for 2025 was to be intentional with myself and my family. Continuing to love those around me in their love language and NOT MINE! Back in January i was thinking, hmm what should we do this year for my husband’s bday. As I’m laying in bed, someone who was showing a before and after of their teeth and i said THIS WOULD BE PERFECT! I knew it was something he wanted to do for years but kept putting it off. I researched some Dentist who did a phenomenal job and i found him🥰🔥 At that moment, i planned my whole roll out of how i wanted to present his birthday gift. I wanted to do a just because gift 1st, just a token of my appreciation for all that he does for our family. The Just because gift was his office remake/ upgrade and after that was complete, i would present him with his birthday gift. In Jan i put a deposit down with the dentist without having the pictures of my husband’s teeth 😩😕🤣 ⚠️ Don’t do this if you’re not prepared to pay whatever they come back and tell 😝. Crazy move on my part but i loved that dentist work and wanted to lock in the date lol. In February i ordered all the stuff for the office remake, after several delays we finally got it together and here we are 😍 He was excited for the whole day after this video taken in March. It’s him throwing my money back to me 😂😂😂. Happy 13th Birthday to our oldest @iampaigedinkins I cannot believe we have a teenager now, where is the time going? 😩 I have been blessed to be apart of your life as your stepmother for the last 12 years and i am very thankful that your parents allow me to be apart of your village. Before i had any kids of my own, god blessed me with my bonus baby. Even tho Paige is not biologically mine, she mine! Every major moment or milestone of your life, i love that i got to be part of it all. You are such a beautiful, smart, crazy and very dramatic girl, kinda like your siblings and alittle like me🤣🤪. But that’s what makes you, you. Even though the transition from child to teen to adult, isn’t a easy one, you will have all of us here to help navigate through the changes and help guide you through any obstacles you may face. My little smart girl, i love how independent my kids are, how smart they are and how they are always willing to learn and do new things. @iamkennedyskye is our sour patch kid for sure. One minute she’s really sweet and then the next minute, she wants to be left alone 😂😂 but one thing my girl is going to do, she’s going to learn and she loves flash cards and books. She 20 months ( A year and 8 months) and she knows so much. She knows all her body parts, she knows some colors, she can count to 5, she will say A-F, she knows so much more. I took this video during our morning flash cards learning time.

@thejdinkins you are the true definition of a man of GOD, Husband, Father, Provider, Son, Friend, Brother and the list goes on. You literally don’t ask or require much, sometimes it’s hard to surprise you because by the time you mention something, you already ordered it or paid someone to get it lol. You have been so busy with building your business lately, that you haven’t had time to do much of anything these days; however I’m always listening or picking up on the little things you say and a few weeks ago you mentioned how your neck hurts from sitting at the desk on the computer for so long and you said, you was going to look into getting one of those desk that rise. The moment you said it, i thought what if i just update the office and i ordered the stuff i knew would be beneficial to you for your business.
