We are thrilled to share that H&E has been shortlisted for the international @restaurantandbardesignawards for our work on Sydney’s Wentworth Bar. For this project, H&E designed a striking 27 x 32-metre canopy that seamlessly blends copper, glass, and timber. The structure complements FK’s vision for the @wentworthbar.sydney. From warehouse to modern offices. The Condell Park space we designed for @shore_hire stands as an example of adaptive reuse, where the original warehouse structure was retained and repurposed to create a contemporary workplace. A key feature of the design is the breakout space, distinguished by a spiral staircase fabricated from steel and finished in matte black. First look at our Fletcher St residential project, exploring the second level of this three-storey heritage house with panoramic 180-degree views of Bondi Beach. On a constrained site offering few lateral windows, the sculptural staircase became a key feature, allowing natural light to reach deep into the heart of the building. As part of our ongoing effort to revisit completed projects in use, we returned to our recent office fit-out in Condell Park, an adaptive reuse of a warehouse space. The design showcases a bold yet minimal palette of raw milled aluminium, black steel, and translucent polycarbonate panels.
