Nope, not kidding!! Here's how 👇🏼 My ready-to-wear collection is divided into "fun" and "fine" pieces. Not that the "fine" pieces aren't “fun” (😉), the two ranges are purely an indication of price point. All the pieces in the "fun" collection are below $1000, and those in the "fine" collection range from $1000 to usually no more than $5000. I also do a lot of custom work where the piece is made within a budget set by my client. I work closely with my client and advise on what is feasible in terms of design and choice of gemstones and metal so that my client always keeps within his/her budget. How am I able to do this? ➡️ Being a third generation private jeweller has its perks. I have always enjoyed the benefits of having established infrastructure in place. I transfer the cost benefits that come from this straight to YOU. ➡️ I work with a large range of gemstones/pearls, and with a variety of metals (sterling silver, 9k / 12k/ 14k/ 18k solid gold, and platinum), which enables me to offer you different price points. ➡️ I have consciously kept my business small and my overheads low. This means you may not get as many frills BUT it does mean you generally deal directly with me, you always get a very personal jewellery shopping experience and best of all, VERY affordable pricing! I was talking to someone earlier today about how our jewellery preferences change along with us as we go through different phases of our lives and we grow and evolve. And as that happens, you find that pieces you used to absolutely love and wear all the time have become pieces that you somehow....don't. I've been running Chocolate Gems long enough now that I had two different clients return to me this year with pieces I had custom-made for them quite a while ago, which were "them" at that time, but which they now wanted to rework to reflect their current personal style and design aesthetic. @bupswups bought her Afghan tourmaline from me some years ago, and I had set it into a ring with a clean design aesthetic (pics 3 and 4). I know LH wore that ring on repeat and adored it. Fast forward to last year when she decided that she had enjoyed her ring properly, but it was now time to BLING IT UP. I can never refuse a request like that 😉 Et voila - here's the revamped jazzed-up 2024 version (pics 1 and 2).
