• B A C A R D I • The evenings are drawing in and the weather switch has well and truly been flicked on to Autumn mode...I’m going to miss my dahlias 🥲🥲 especially this one 😍

• A R A B I A N N I G H T • this year I added some darker toned dahlias to my collection and they looked just as I’d hoped in my floral arrangements. Arabian Night has flowered away all summer long and is still full of blooms! An excellent performer with longggg stems 🤍

• F L O R A L A R R A N G E M E N T • this is my #dahliafloralarrangement entry into the #instadahliashow2024 I have used all what’s left blooming in the garden- sedum, roses, salvia, snapdragon, cosmos, aster, hollyhock and of course dahlias. I think this may be my last arrangement for 2024. Apart from the roses, everything is either grown from seed, tuber or propagated with love by me @bloomandburn @the_dahlia_wood

• Z I N N I A• precious metals by @floretflower and @dawncreekfarm are all starting to flower. I have never been a huge zinnia lover…but these are something else! Thank you @alma.proust for enabling us UK gardeners witness these incredibly spectacular blooms to grow in our gardens 🙏🏼

• K I N G S I Z E A P R I C O T • couldn’t not share this one. Absolutely stunning. I will grow this variety and Lady Coral Chamois every year I live 🤍

• L A D Y C O R A L C H A M O I S •this is the first year I’ve grown China Aster and all I can do is wonder why I didn’t grow them sooner. They are absolutely dreamy. I lost a lot of CA’s when my zippy blew over but thankfully a few survived. I have been growing flowers for 4 years now and I still find it hard to believe such beautiful things come from a dry seed. • N E W F A V O R I T E S • this year some different flowers have had my heart all summer. This year I grew gladioli and bought some pelargoniums, diasica and nemesia. I have always been ambivalent to all of these varieties and tbh, I didn’t like gladioli at all. But, this year- I stand corrected. I have fallen head over heels for them all and next year I’ll be upping my game and trying more varieties. I think gardening and growing evolves for us all as we grow ourselves.
