The teeny tiny utility room we carved out when we created our new kitchen. It may be small but it is mighty in character. I just love the bright colours in here and because it’s a small room it’s actually not too overpowering. I also love the contrast of how the big floral wallpaper meets the geometric lines of the tiles. And then topped off with a blousey green skirt. It certainly makes washing days that bit more enjoyable. A personal project which we finished earlier this year, our kitchen! We have been planning the renovation of this room for a while now, with a fairly tired kitchen we inherited with the house when we bought it, and limited space. We applied for planning permission to extend into the garden slightly. Not a huge amount, but it’s amazing what 2 metres will do. It’s been transformative. We now have space for a kitchen island, a dining table which isn’t slap bang in the middle of the room, and a teeny tiny utility room. @fabcosanctuaryltd windows around the extension bring a little modernity to the room and the Georgian house, and maximise the light we get - which feels slightly life changing with the limited amount of light/sun we get in this country anyway! The @devolkitchens kitchen was the icing on the cake 🍰. Obviously I went for bold colour and lots of pattern - have snuck in as many of my favourite fabrics/suppliers/artists as I could. I’ll share more pics of other angles so you can see.
