DIY Lotus Tea Light Holder ✨ Starting off the festive DIY series with this favourite DIY from last year. Kyunki tyohaar hai, toh chamak bhi hogi hi, islie I love including tea lights to enhance the festive vibes. Kaisa laga ye idea? Will you give this a try? Achha, process kafi simple hai, but phr bhi, let me mention - here I have used air dry clay - make a big base of clay, using a roller - you need the tea light base to make proper measurements for the round circles - cut the circles, I don’t remember the exact count of how many I made, but the more the better - start separating the circles - take one, flatten the edges and this will act as the base of your tea light - now start sticking (by pressing) all the other circles around the base - remember to elongate the circles a bit, to give leaf types feel - after everything dries, paint in any gorgeous colour - after the paint dries, put a shiny glaze, or decoupage to protect the colour - and the tea light is ready♥️ And achha lage toh do SHARE and SAVE #festivedecor #festivevibes #diwali #diwalivibes✨ #diwalidecorations #tealights #tealightholder #candlemaking #trending #diyhomedecor #festivals #diwalidecor

Let’s make a floral Tea Cup Candle. If you have been with me for a while, you would know that I had these cup and saucer for years now, and they kind of worn out. But since I loved these, and didn’t want to discard, I tried this idea of making tea cup candle. Now this idea is all over the Pinterest, and I wanted to create something similar, so got this floral mould, candle wicks and soy wax from amazon. You can use some existing wax and wick from left over candles as well. Coming to the process, it’s extremely simple - melt the wax using double boiler method - add some drops of your favourite essential oil - mix mix mix - fix the wick using melted wax - pour the melted wax, and let it sit for a couple of hours - take some melted wax in a disposable cup - start pouring small amounts on the mould, now the idea is to create a light shading effect on our flower - once this is done, take some more melted wax, and mix some shredded crayons of your fav colour - pour this on the mould and let it sit - after a couple of hours, demould the flower carefully - I forgot adding a wick earlier so I had to take a hot stick and create a passage for the wick - melt the cup candle slightly using hot gun/hair dryer - carefully settle the floral candle and - tada!! The day I have been dreaming about for the past nine months is finally here 🤭. Yes, I am setting up the nursery for my little one, piece by piece, straight from my heart! I dedicated my workspace to this nursery, so I can keep an eye on her while continuing to work during the day (of course, when she permits 🤭). The whole idea was to make this space light, breezy, and floral. Since I couldn’t paint, I opted for panels as an easier and much better alternative. I decided to try @urbancompany panels, and the process was so smooth from start to finish. The outcome turned out better than I imagined.
