1/4 Brainrot custom type series A few weeks ago I found this brain rot exam paper on TikTok and it ruined my life a bit. I somehow was inspired to do a series of Neo-sigilism typography/tramp stamps of Gen alpha words like Skibidi, Gyatt, sigma etc. if someone from Gen Alpha wld to get a tramp stamp of the words I would imagine it to look like this. Illegible cuz u wouldn’t wish to know its meaning. Thank you @maltegrajewski for ur skateboard mock up Anyway for someone with very bad creative burn out this was the project that got me drawing and crafting again. And I probably overdid the crafting for sth so brainless. Now I’m imagining it as shirts, skateboards or temporary tattoos if I ever finish the series. After a long break from doing art I finally manage to break through the creative burn out and get back to enjoying this. I’m going to try, keyword being “try” to post again despite the whole ai/meta taking ur work to feed their tiny ai baby 👶 wadvr. 20 April 2024 This was a nice moment at Berlin, in front of the Berlin cathedral waiting for @fakejolart and @fishipk come out from their museum. The air was cold but refreshing, there was a rainbow at the fountain nearby. Children running around, along with the con artist trying to get people in sign up for fake petitions. Buskers competing for the crowds attentions. We sat on the grass and had a nice hour to ourselves. No work anxiety, existential angst or stress. The group happen to split into two different museums that day but I’m glad we all enjoyed what we saw.. despite the speed running thru national museums. I can hear @giangdipenguin say “NO HOMO!” When I draw this cozy huddle between her n @yanhanwhom Idk when we get to travel again together as a group, but I’m glad after graduation we still find our way to travel tgt every year. I told myself to do a yearly showreel, somehow this showreel has procrastinated for 2 years. I just keep adding a year to it. This is a slightly outdated showreel of what I used to do a a motion graphic designer. Now after a year and a half as a junior art director, I feel like I have a new pair of lens to see the world in. Sometimes it can be quite annoying, like spotting the misalignment of some airplane design collaterals and have it haunt you the entire flight. Am really happy that the hours and pushing myself actually paid of with this two pieces. ##forartssake2023 #gofy A Cai Png store at Amoy Street Food Centre Is inspired by Edouard Manet’s ‘A Bar at the Folies-Bergère’. It focuses on the familiar Cai png auntie and her intense gaze at me when I order too slow. While A Sunday Afternoon at Fort Canning Park is inspired by George Seurat’s ‘A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte’. Focusing on the lively community at Fort Canning Park and how they celebrate their Sundays off days. Both pieces are reimagined of the said artworks in the context (also promo code here if u wanna buy: TINGXGOFY) Thank you @808eatinghouse.sg for giving the artwork a space and omg the food there is niceeee I love their brunch menu’s mushroom, baby corn and eggs. My entry for @giffestsg 2023- imperfect, focuses on the heartache we feel when we fall short of perfection. While I was sick in bed from Covid again. I had a long brainstorm about the theme- imperfect. People feel most imperfect when they sought to achieve the greatest only to fall short by another. I remember the obsession with Olympians and their medals, and the heartache of falling short of ridiculous expectations. Why we are so eager to celebrate 1st but not so much for runner ups. how everyone can be a winner but there is only one victor.
