Been away the last couple of days climbing Mt. Rainier with 11 others from my station. One of the toughest things I’ve done. The mental game was in full effect and the pain didn’t help the many conversations I had with myself. Had to dig deep, take one painful step at a time and filter out every fear of not returning home to my family. In the end, it was one of the most exhausting, emotional and rewarding feelings to summit.

@tacomafirefighters has done more with less as they have a very dedicated group of people. Because of that dedication, the City Council appears to believe they can cut money and use that money elsewhere. This appears to be very short sited, and part of a bigger budget problem that took years to create.
