Now, we’re looking ahead to 2025, and we’re still hiring for the upcoming season. Lots of “hotshot stuff” got done, in a safe, efficient and professional manner. At the beginning of every season, I tell the crew that they’ll get out of this program what they put into this program and they definitely left it all out there. Their great attitudes, strong work ethic and dedication to themselves and the crew made them a pleasure to lead. As with every crew, truly humbling to be their Superintendent. Citus Et Absolutus

The crew has finished up our roll on the Wapiti and on our way home made a stop by the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. Dinner served by buggy scene lights after the crew worked an extended swing shift burning a critical piece of line on the Chalk incident on the Willamette Complex. The crew is headed home after finishing up another assignment that started on the Klamath at the Shelly and ended on the Butte Unit at the Park with a short duration detour to the R-6 on the NOD.
