Hi! 👋🏻 I'm Elizabeth. Pediatric RN 🩺 but left the bedside in 2020 to be home with our 6 kiddos and partner with my husband to run our family business. As a registered nurse, I saw things inside the hospital that I knew weren't right and somehow wanted the world to know...there was a different way. To recognize that modern medicine is amazing for emergencies, but for day to day ailments, we don't always need to turn to prescriptions and heavy intervention. To show that implementing a mindset of proactive vs reactive in our health and the health of our children actually matters. I started sharing about natural remedies as a side hobby here in 2019 and have since had this community grow to over 250,000 of you beautiful humans. We're so grateful to have this platform and want to steward it well, to the glory of God. If you've been around a minute, I'd love to know something you've learned following along here! If you're new, welcome! I have dozens of highlights covering many different topics and that's a great place to start learning! 🫶🏻🖤 . . . . . #naturalwellness #holistichealth #naturalremedies #holisticnurse

Daily family Bible time. We gather together right before bedtime, sing a few songs, read from our Bible, and pray together. We’re currently working through “The Child’s Story Bible” by Catherine F Vos for a second time. Bible time is something I’ve done with my kiddos for years as a morning time before school thing, but we felt convicted a couple years ago after listening to a Peter Brandon sermon on the family altar to make it a priority to gather together daily as a family unit. Parents, the Bible is clear. It is our responsibility and privilege to present the knowledge of the Gospel to our children. It is not your church’s responsibility; it is not their teacher’s responsibility; it is not anyone’s responsibility but your own. This is done through Bible reading, worship, prayer, and daily examples through actions. We are to be teaching them when we sit, walk, lie down, and get up (Deuteronomy 6), but intentional, daily Bible time as a family is so impactful. It gives our children a chance to ask questions, to wrestle with some of the hard truths found in Scripture (ie, that they aren’t enough), and to recognize their need for a Savior. Don’t overcomplicate it. Just commit to gathering for a few minutes together to do these things. Pick a book of the Bible or a devotional, sing a song, and pray. The effort will not return void. We see the fruit of this daily time in many ways, and are looking forward to the years ahead where, Lord willing, our children claim their faith as their own. Do you do a family Bible time? What does it look like in your home?

Some thoughts I’ve been mulling over as I watch our society get more and more obsessed with outward perfection. This is not saying we can’t care about our appearance or like getting dressed up and putting makeup on. Again, it’s what’s at the heart that matters. We live in a society that looks at an actress or model and thinks they need to achieve that too – not understanding the cost. I want my daughters (and sons) to see their mom age the way God intended. Smile lines, wrinkles, stretch marks and all. With age comes wisdom, let’s embrace it joyfully 🤍 What are your thoughts? "Do not let your adorning be merely outward...rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God". 1 Peter 3:3-4 . . . . . #aginggracefully #botox #christianmom #motherhoodencouragement #christianencouragement

Let's ponder together: why would someone need immunity from being sued if their product is completely safe? 🤔🤓 Here's to hoping Trump overturns that garbage day 1

The yummiest rolls! Save 🔖this one for later! Let me know if you try it! Ingredients 1 cup milk ½ cup water 4 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt ¼ oz. instant yeast (one packet or about 2 ¼ teaspoons) 3 ½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour Egg wash: 1 large egg 1 tablespoon water Instructions: Combine the milk, water, butter, and sugar in a pot on low. Heat until the temperature reaches 95°-115°F. This is very important – use an instant read thermometer and keep the temp in this range! Stir until butter is at least mostly melted. Pour the heated mixture into the bowl of a stand mixer and add salt. Sprinkle the yeast over top. Add 3 cups of the flour and mix on medium speed with the dough hook attachment. (I like to use the dough hook with my hand to get the ingredients combined then place dough hook onto the stand mixer to do the rest.) Continue to mix for 3 minutes while adding the remaining flour ¼th cup at a time until dough is no longer sticking to the sides. I rarely use all 4 cups. You want it tacky, not too dry. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set aside to rise for 15 minutes. While the dough is rising, preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9x13-inch pan with butter. Remove risen dough from the bowl and shape into 20 equal sized rolls. I do a gentle tuck and pinch to create mine. Place into the prepared dish. Do not over work your dough or you'll end up with tough rolls. Allow second rise: Place a clean damp towel over the rolls and let rise again for an additional 15 minutes. (You can let rise longer, up to 1 hour.) Before placing in oven, in a small bowl, beat the egg with the water & brush the top of rolls with the egg mixture. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown. Remove the baked rolls from the oven and top immediately with melted butter if you love yourself. *adapted from seeded at the table with a few changes
