I’m not sharing all of my health insurance horror stories because they’re sometimes about other people, not just me. But I am daily impacted by the cost of healthcare in this country, I am terrified and feel guilt for not being able to save my friends, and sometimes buying myself something nice feels like I’m a traitor because this could have gone to a loved one’s medical bills. I do not mourn the axe.
