This afternoon, OCFA firefighters in Westminster successfully saved a home from a rapidly advancing fire. Crews responded to reports of 10 cypress trees on fire in a backyard, with flames dangerously close to the home. Upon arrival, firefighters also encountered downed and arcing power lines, adding complexity to the incident. Despite the challenge, crews launched a swift and aggressive attack, extinguishing the fire within minutes and limiting damage to the trees and rear patio. 🔥 1 house saved 🌲 10 trees involved ✅ 100% success on this call ⚡ Downed power lines safely managed Thanks to @westminsterpdca & @sce for assisting!

Firefighters fought a fire in a commercial building on Westminster Boulevard in @CityOfWestminsterCA shortly after 5 a.m. A second alarm was called to ensure a quick knockdown of the fire, which was hidden in void spaces, and to guard against high winds that could exacerbate the situation. Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire in the affected units, and no injuries were reported. Thank you to our partners @WestminsterPDCA, @FountainValleyFireDept, and @Huntington_Beach_Fire. @OCFirefighters #Fire #Firefighter

On December 7, 1941, the attack on Pearl Harbor forever changed our nation. The Orange County Fire Authority honors the 2,403 service members and civilians who lost their lives that day, as well as the countless others who answered the call to serve in the wake of that tragedy. We stand united in gratitude for the sacrifices made to defend our freedoms and uphold the values we cherish. Let us never forget their courage, resilience, and commitment to protecting our country.
