Sediment deposit in Big Chico Creek has turned it into a “chocolate” river. While debris flows always make the headlines post-Wildfire, sediment deposit like this is still very harmful to life living in these riparian ecosystems.

Got some #goodfire on the ground today up in Forest Ranch with my professor, @pyrogeographer, along with my classmates in our Conservation and Restoration class. Helped eradicate some non-native French Broom. Especially important that we use prescribed fire to not only help steward our lands, but normalize fire, as today marks the 6th anniversary of the Camp Fire.

Update on the 4Runner! Finished installing the @cali_raised_led T4R molle panel with a @rotopaxofficial 4 gallon gas can! This will help give me safety when storm chasing up in the Sierra if I-80 closes and I am stranded along with dozens of other vehicles. With possibly the first significant winter storm coming late this week, I’m ready to chase! @toyota_norcal
