Who said summer holidays have to mean luxury vacations, packed camps, or non-stop schedules? Some of my favorite summer memories were slow, quiet days relaxing at home after a busy school year. No big plans, just peace, play, and presence. Let this be your gentle reminder: memories can be made anywhere, especially at home. They don’t need to be fancy or expensive. Sometimes, the simplest moments become the most magical. Today, we pulled out our lucite cubes, some cellophane, and tape. My daughter called it a “dance floor.” We matched colors to the reflections, watched the ceiling light up like a rainbow, made up a dance game, and even painted a giant cardboard dance floor we found in the garage.
