Adios August! ✌🏽 — This post is just to document when I actually felt like myself again…August was so good to me. I showed up for myself in ways that I hadn’t in a long time. I gave August my best… lol! I prioritized self-care, embraced a few passions or whatever, found joy in the small things, and kept myself locked in with my people. I did all of the things… August was a month of growth, healing, and rediscovery, reminding me that it’s never too late to reclaim my happiness and authenticity. And I did just that! Cheers to September! I’m looking forward to you, Pooh! Let’s do this!

I started June in the lowest place I have ever been. For the past year, It feels like I have been under constant attack, both personally and professionally, and it seemed like there was no end in sight. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions. I have been secretly grieving so much loss - shattered career and life expectations, friendships that I thought were solid, a strained relationship with my mom, shattered family dynamics, and to add insult to injury, I was recently robbed of all my valuables, leaving me feeling completely gutted. Needless to say, my spirits have been completely broken. Last year, when I turned 33, I felt a sense of pride because it was my “Jesus” year. I even shared this sentiment with my girlfriends. 🤡🤡🤡 I of all people should have known better than to say that because our words have so much power. And while Jesus did do amazing things and fulfilled His promises during His 33rd year, it came at a great cost - the crucifixion. But just as there was crucifixion, there was also resurrection. On my birthday last Thursday, God revealed to me, as if it were a movie, all the things I had to die to - my pride, ego, bitterness, comparison, perfectionism, self doubt, resentment … and list goes on. All so that He could resurrect the best version of myself - a woman who is healed, powerful, loved, resilient, patient and willing to be seen trying. I’m still working through difficult moments, but I have hope that God is working behind the scenes. He already has been, honestly. It’s been so wild. 🥹 This life stuff comes in seasons and when you understand seasons you know things HAVE to change. So I’m holding on, friend. Literally taking it one day at a time. I’m so grateful for you and most importantly my incredible tribe for giving me a safe space to take a break, fill my cup, cry/vent,laugh, eat good and be present. It’s been so healing. I love you. But, before I go say this with me: I welcome July a new month filled with new opportunities. Miracles are happening in my life. I walk in confidence that God has everything worked out for me. It’s my season.I am a magnet for blessings. I may lose things/people but I will not lose faith.
