Our garden was basically a failure this year. We planted everything and then had a baby and all the tomatoes, eggplant, peppers… basically everything rotted on the vine from some form of blight . But we harvested some incredible soil from our chicken run for another planting, got a ton of basil for pesto, finally found a use for this @gohar.world egg stand, and we have two huge sunflowers! Do I need to wake my baby up to feed them at night? If your baby is gaining weight appropriately and feeding well during the day, you don’t need to set an alarm every 3 hours overnight. Follow their cues. Let them sleep (and get some yourself). That said, if your pediatrician is monitoring weight concerns, or if your baby is underweight or premature, waking them might be necessary for a while. Always check in with your care team. A few photos from the summer solstice and Father’s Day and the process of turning our daughter into a mermaid. I think babies gravitate towards water- they were in fact swimming underwater for 40 weeks of a gestation. So I feel like it’s more about unlearning swimming than learning how to swim, in my opinion.
